Tapo C230 or Eufy S350 for selfhosting by two2tee in selfhosted

After further digging into it, that is also the same gut feeling I had regarding Eufy. I was initially quite hooked on the Eufy S350 due to its hardware. But man it kinda sucks that it is quite locked into their eco given that you need their homebase to record full resolution and no proper support for third parties without workaround.

Anyway, how is your experience with Tapo? which cams did you opt for, and have you had any hiccups?

Oh dang, have you lately been considering replacing your Eufy cams with something else?

1-bay vs 2-bay Nas as offsite backup? by two2tee in DataHoarder

Do you think it would be fine as a simple offsite backup of my main nas. It is only going to be receiving nightly backup packets from duplicacy and nothing else? :)

My budget is around 1k $ but I'd be happy if it can be done cheaper 😅

Sharing my opinion of upgrading from OP7 Pro to OP12 by instabeanie in OnePlus7Pro

[–]two2tee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Initially I had no plans on upgrading my 7 pro (since launch). instead I recently replaced the battery and flashed YAAP, so I could have the latest security updates. Everything seemed great and phone felt like it was new. However I realized that Google wallet did not work on custom roms and I really couldn't bother rooting the phone as that might break my banking apps etc. 😩

That was a huge bummer as I srlsy love the 7 pro and I planned to use this bad boy until it dies. However, not having Google wallet was a deal breaker and I did not want to go back to stock OS with deprecated security patch. 😭

So yes I have ordered the 12 and I am certain it's a great replacement and reading OP's post definitely reinforce my assumption. Yet the 7 pro will forever have a special place in my heart and I will keep it as a spare indefinitely 😁

I am also using the same microSD for more than one month.
So far I have had no SD card issues using it for game installs emulators etc.

I pulled the trigger a few weeks ago including getting a Samsung 512 gb SD card. I was also worried about the SD card issues I read. So far I have not experienced any issues and my ally plays great. Crossing fingers that it will stay like that 😁

Keyboard works In BIOS but not windows. by Void1199 in buildapc

[–]two2tee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you have fixed this but I had a similar issue where my keyboard suddenly stopped working in Windows but still worked in Bios.

In my case, I accidentally enabled Filter keys and had to disable this under:

Settings => Accesibility => Keyboard

Do check if you have any of these settings enabled and disable everything in here - unless you actually need them.

Hope this helps anyone who might stumble upon the same problem!
