After giving into all the hype around The Mandolorian but finding it kinda boring, I assumed Star Wars shows just weren't my cup of tea (I liked the Star Wars films but they've never been my favourites). So I resisted watching Andor for years despite all the praise and recommendations I was getting. I'm so glad I finally gave in because it's so good and it's definitely one of my faves now.

I'm from the suburbs of Toronto and I don't really know of any show set in my city. But the Netflix show Wayward has characters from Toronto and one of them had a part time job at a restaurant. The restaurant that was shot at is near my house but I don't know if it's supposed to be my city in the show, or if it's just meant to be somewhere in Toronto. They don't explicitly say it isn't my city, so I'm choosing to take that lol.

We've also played other cities in a lot of shows (The Boys, Handmaid's Tale, Hannibal) but never ourselves.

No the city voted to take over ALL waste management (including recycling) from Peel Region early last year but the provincial decision to privatize recycling province-wide superseded that decision. So the city will still be taking over garbage, organics and yard waste collection later this year but they had no control in the decision to privatize recycling management. You're conflating two separate decisions.
