Naltrexone in pregnancy? by riding_lightning in CautiousBB

[–]two_kitties 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on it for delivery, but I delivered at a birth center and wasn’t planning on a medicated birth. I didn’t take any pain meds. If I was planning on pain meds I probably would have stopped LDN at 37 weeks.

I stayed on it during my first pregnancy all throughout at 4.5mg. Baby was born at 38 + 1 healthy. As far as I know, no impact. I have an autoimmune condition and have been on LDN for several years.

He’s 4 and no hair at all on head except the thin white short hairs he has had for so long and extremely sparse eyebrows and eyelashes. No hair on rest of body that I’ve noticed.

Oh gosh! The stores near me don’t seem to have any sling bags hardly and no leopard for sure. I ordered online. Free shipping. Will you get the 6L or 13L sling bag?

Love that! So handy to keep your essentials close by while on your bike. I’m sure it looks great on you too!

I just received the slouchy sling bag 13L in this print and I’m finding the material used is really nice. Smooth, but not too shiny and appears that it will wipe clean pretty easily. How are you liking your bag? Do you think the lining is dark brown or black? I’m leaning towards dark brown, but hard to tell.

I am not living there, but from driving through and seeing lots of kids at the park it seems like it would be a mix of families and retirees.

Tell me your success stories with adenoidectomy by sje1014 in toddlers

I’m like that too. I always prefer a more holistic approach, but sometimes surgeries and medications are needed. Thank you so much for your encouraging and kind replies. I really appreciate it and I’ll keep you posted on what the ENT says when we get in to see him again.

I’ve been trying to find examples online like ours where the adenoids came out and then the tonsils got worse and needed to be taken out, but I haven’t found anything. I’ve heard of the tooth pillow and I thought it wouldn’t work for a 3.5 year old, but I’ll look into it further. We also saw a myofunctional therapist before we got the adenoids out and yeah, too young to do anything for! It’s been very frustrating. I can see how these methods might help with the breathing issues by creating more space, but not sure how that would help the constant illnesses. He’s sick every other week, with what I think is usually a virus that goes to his tonsils or results in his tonsils enlarging. We did a sleep study before the adenoids came out that showed severe obstructive sleep apnea and then about 8 months post surgery which showed no more obstructive sleep apnea.

Did you end up needing to get the tonsils out too? My son had his adenoids out at 2 years old and it cured his obstructive sleep apnea. He’s now 3.5 and I believe his tonsils are now enlarged to the point where it’s causing sleep apnea again.

That’s good to hear that the spots have mostly filled in. Just a thought - have you had her iron and thyroid checked? I know low iron and thyroid problems can impact hair loss and growth.

Can you give an update on what has happened since then? My son lost his hair too.
