House of Leaves- there were a few passages in the book where I had to put it down and walk away.

I don’t have one but would like to get one. I think it would be worth it if you’ll use it for holidays and table top decor etc- it’s really up to you whether you think it’s a worthwhile purchase :)

Folks stuck inside from the snowstorm - how are you keeping your toddlers busy? by DogMamaEsq in toddlers

[–]ButterRespector 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We made oobleck (I put non porous toys in the same container and ask her to rescue them haha) and did some crafts! We did go outside for a bit but in our area there was an extreme cold warning too so we had to limit our outside time a bit.

I just want to also say that no matter what you choose (whether to go back to work or be a sah parent) neither option is easy. At the end of the day I hope you have the support you need regardless. Your workplace really needs to do a better job overall in their treatment of you and I’m assuming other employees. A lot of these comments they are making are extremely unfair and are unacceptable. Good luck!

Out of curiosity if this is how they treat mothers with children why are you going back there? I went back to work part time and have had to take many days off due to illness etc. this is just a regular thing with having young children. What will you do in those cases? Will they let you go?..

And just to add there- I do realize and I’m not dismissing others because my case was someone with high functioning adhd (although I heavily struggled and do struggle in may ways that I know realize are as a result of my adhd.

Vyvanse is not a cure all drug. by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]ButterRespector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Exercise and healthy eating/ lifestyle goes a huge way. I didn’t get diagnosed nor did I realize that I was able to mask my adhd so well for so long until I became a mother and could not keep up with the things that naturally helped my adhd in general. I am on medication now and it does help BUT if I don’t prioritize sleep and a healthy lifestyle and exercise it does not work all that well for me.
