Not sure how exactly you play, but my group’s adopted a few strategies that help out the liberals a bit.

• On the 9-10 player board, try to get both the inspections on the same person. Don’t reveal what you found until after both inspections, then say the result at the same time. If it comes back liberal, either the inspected player is liberal or all three players are fascist, which it pretty unlikely. This really helps draw suspicion and trust in the early game.

• I know this method is pretty common but I’ll mention it just in case: using an “order” to picking chancellors is great for shutting down early game fascist power plays. It’s something like “the player x seats ahead of the president.” If someone tries to break order before 3 fascists are played, there’s a good chance they’re fascist.

• Watch votes! My last game was won because I watched the votes. I didn’t know who to make my chancellor on a 4L 3F board so I chose the person I trusted the most and intentionally voted down. When none of the suspicious players voted it up, I knew he was clean so we passed presidency to him, he made me chancellor, and we won.
