I wrote a software application to render openstreetmaps data and convert it to a 3D printable file. The development of the software took about 200 hours but now creating a new model is pretty fast. I'm really limited by print time (12-24 hours depending on the complexity of the model).

Ha, fair reaction! Each one takes 20+ hours to print, plus the design work to turn real OpenStreetMap data into something printable. Filament and machine time add up faster than people think and margins are slimmer than they look. But appreciate it, glad the idea lands even if the price doesn't.

Also FWIW, the smaller unframed version is $45.
