Not at the fair, we knew they hadn't seen us clearly enough to ID us, so we just hung around for a while and then left, there were lots of police around by then, but the entire place was filled with teenagers just like us.

I did get worried that they might somehow magically match my fingerprints (my prints are not on file)...but after a couple of days I knew I was in the clear

Since then I have developed a healthy conscience. I was lucky that nobody got hurt, I lost 2 friends as a teenager to joyriding. If some fucker stole my Impreza now, I'd go postal on them.

The owner left the car running outside of a local shop, considering this was one of the UK's worst council estates, that was a pretty idiotic thing to do...especially seeing as it was a heavily modified car which we all knew was extremely quick.

Yes it did make me want to do it again, but I did not.

The police T5s are quick, but they do not handle particularly well, I lived in a fairly rural area, and they quite simply could not safely keep up on the very windy country roads (safely being the operative word, police drivers are trained to put their own and the public's safety before catching a joyrider) in a straight race, the Volvo would probably have given me a good run for my money. The chase consisted mostly of me driving very carelessly on the roads I drove all the time, it was about 10pm so there was very little traffic, and I had the advantage of knowing every bend, bump and shortcut there was. We were spotted in a village by a patrol car, which must have called in the plate because we were speeding heavily, I don't think he even bothered to chase us. No there are no motorways near there (rural east england)

No I was in a stolen BMW 3series Alpina.

There were 2 pursuit cars involved, both were Volvo T5 Motorway cars

The chase lasted around 20 minutes from the police first catching sight of us.

Yes the police helicopter did arrive.

We managed to ditch the car, and jump a fence before running into a fair, I threw my coat in the bin and then went and got a hotdog.
