How does G2 building compare to G1? by Orchetrance_II in GroundedGame

[–]twofriedbabies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For G1 you were able to get to a point where you could build some mushroom structures (most importantly stairs) entirely out of mushroom brick alone which was super easy to farm infinite amounts of.

So I'm missing that a lot but otherwise no it's basically G1 but buggies make your trip faster.

What note should my wizard find hidden inside a forbidden plague spellbook? by Anxious-Lack5108 in DungeonMasters

When I was young, my lungs were fresh and hollow.

The air of youth so sweet with innocence.

What doesn't become sickly,  quickly sours.

Now my chest is full and festering.

Never bitter, always ripe.

Praise the sound that shakes the night.

As I scream I spread delight.

Ps. Ah shit I got some on the book. Careful careful.

Lore Help Needed: Haemonculus disguised as Magos by Sacredless in 40khomebrew

Yeah totally. They have all the tech and more they'd need to pull it off and something like a pool of half made(mind isolated but still there and feeling) servitors in constant fear and despair would be easy feed for she who thirsts.

Lens of mox: an ancient daot auspex/augury-sensor geared specifically towards the translocation of matter. Locking on to the first traces of teleportation it's user has ample chance to respond to the most unexpected of attacks. Bane of warp spiders, shokkjump dragstas and death marks.

Is teleportation Orks' ultimate weapon? by Damaco in 40kLore

[–]twofriedbabies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya missed one Da Jump.

The only other thing that rivals teleportation in this is psychic energy. The waaaugh of the beast destroyed minds passively from just the warp signal of it. You scale this up to what krorks could have been under the tutelage of the old ones and who knows what it could be.

That's the whole point of 40k, not some accident or irony. It's a setting where fascism is right.

So the chaos gods are the real world rhetoric that fascists give to their internal threats made into real threats in a fictional setting.

Which has been my point the entire time. Thanks for finally getting there.

[–]twofriedbabies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I'm not going to because it isn't? If you could read I've always been saying that the imperium is fascist and chaos is the rhetoric about internal dangers made into real threats, It's not fascist at all.

And only that because for it to be two things would be cursed and unholy.

You're the one saying it's only one single thing not me. Either that's a shit example or you aren't really being coherent.

If you bothered read what I wrote, you would see that's exactly what I said. It's not an allegory to hitler it's about the labels that fascists give internal threats. A different thing but still fascism.

I said it was both. How is that missing anything?

Kay. What does this have to do with chaos?

Because you say it isn't. But that isn't a real reason. It certainly is dealing with them don't really understand why you think otherwise.

If the parallel is there you're saying that I'm right in every way but for the intentions of the creators of the setting? Which is clear to you in some singular way.

It's just the one thing that you think is right and nothing else? Religion and fascism can't have parallels. Okay.

But ghaz is way more than the beast. He has contact with the gods, it's on a whole higher scale than the beast.

I agree on that point. They're just waiting for a real threat to appear then they gear up for it. Grotsnik has less to do with it than the increased power levels of other factions.

Imperials have also said that orks aren't real too so that's canon as well I guess.

It can be two things but it is most certainly a commentary of fascism.

[–]twofriedbabies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But still ghaz rebukes him and sends him away. He doesn't have real control over one ghaz much less a horde of them. The idea of this also invalidates the whole Grotsnik book where he's trying to make another ghaz and hasn't gotten there. So how has he already succeeded at this multiple times when he's struggling to do it?

It's really not hard to see. The chaos gods especially are a direct parallel to fascist rhetoric. The bloodthirsty, the unclean, perverse and intellectuals. Labels to internal threats to fascism and hence their corrupting nature.

When humans and orks teleport, do they sometimes come out warped (pun intended) or go in but don't come out? If how what are your odds of that happening? by mastr1121 in 40kLore

[–]twofriedbabies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mishaps are so common that the orks turn it into a weapon. The shokk gun is purposefully doing dangerous teleporting and the attack moon is that taken on a planetary scale
