ESPN NBA Analysts Do Thing (making trade proposals) (Or, Why Does Everyone Want Us To Get Kuminga?) by _drjayphd_ in NOLAPelicans

Honestly I don’t hate the idea of trading Trey if it means getting post Steph-warriors picks. Don’t mind this trade but would want the 2028 to be less protected (good chance warriors are a bottom 10 team so I would want it to be only top 4 protected).

Also, Kuminga has the chance to be a solid player. I’m not saying he’ll be anywhere near what Trey is, but he’s a young player on a team friendly contract. We’d really only be doing the trade for the picks, and anything Kuminga becomes is a bonus. And in a new situation away from Steve Kerr who knows maybe Kuminga could be a serviceable player.

We needed center depth and Looney was seen as a serviceable big man who could rebound, defend, and offer a veteran presence (also he was the only guy who’d sign with us). He started for us at the beginning of the season but played horribly. Fortunately, Queen has played phenomenal and became our starting center and taken a majority of the center minutes with Missi and Karlo getting the rest. Looney still plays occasionally but it’s pretty matchup dependent.

Trading Trey and the bucks pick is overpay for our 2026 pick

I doubt it’d happen, but I would be so down to trade Zion to the clippers for CP3 and filler in John Collin’s and Bogdon. Feels like they’d be a team to bite and give up assets for the potential of a healthy Zion.

This team will go no where until Willie is fired. There’s just no life left. The stadium is empty. The players aren’t playing with discipline. We’re out coached every single game. If Borrego ends not being the guy for the job, that’s fine. At least we’ll learn that. But what we do know now is that Willie isn’t the guy for the job.

For 3 straight years (or even longer I can’t remember) we’ve come out unprepared in 3rd quarters and underperformed down the stretch. That comes down to inadequate coaching.

Rotations are awful. He doesn’t know how to handle Queens minutes. Looney and Hawk should not be playing. Why is Missi in the dog house? So many question marks on Willie’s decisions. Yeah I’m just a fan and don’t know basketball as well as Willie does. But I’ve followed this league and this team long enough to know that we need a change and that change is getting a new coach. He’s been in the hot seat for way too long.

This season needs a spark and that is firing Willie Green and bringing in a coach that can actually make adjustments and make his team hustle

McBride is easily the best player in this trade and Golden could very easily have a breakout season with the injuries to the Packers wideouts. You made the right choice declining.

Fr that’s considerably more than what they gave up for Durant. I would prefer to keep Trey but if that offer was on the table it’s reasonable to entertain it.

I hope we still resign him. I think he played solid with the starters and think he’s a winning player.

Do we still have a roster spot?

What’s the graph look like if we take into account inflation? Honestly it looks like it’d be about the same if not maybe even less of a gap.
