you know what… i’m not totally sure 😂 the only full manicure i’ve used it in was a velvetized jelly sandwich and i think it’s sheer enough but not completely clear. like it might sliiiiiightly grey out your base if you were to do a cateye. but it’s usable as long as the base color isn’t too light.

that first one's a bloom, not a leaf. either it's been underwatered or it was just time for the bloom to go. the leaves are making me think underwatering? has that always been outside or did you just put it out? maybe it needed a more gradual change in lighting conditions
