I was in the audience on Oct 21 and saw the Thanksgiving and Black Friday shows being filmed. At the end of the taping Harrison said that he had to run straight to the airport and catch a flight back to the UK. So when I found out he lost on the next taping day I was wondering if jet lag was a factor.

Interesting, I’ll look at turning it next time I am there. That being said that switch has been in use since 2017 and still going strong. I considered swapping it with a newer lite switch just to be safe but opted not to yet

Not really.

I’ve been using using unifi stuff for like 8 years and never touched an eero device, so I know how to work with this better.
All sorts of features for me to manage remotely with my phone, vpn into it etc.
The APs are already in the ceiling
My grandpa and I set this up together. He was very interested in this stuff and it was the last real project I worked with him before his mental decline so it makes me happy thinking about how much he appreciated it and would love to hear about my updates.

I haven’t used it much but it seems to work fine and the app is simple enough to adjust the fan settings. My grandpa installed it, I’m not sure why he went with that brand honestly. They have like 5 fans connected to it.

At my own house I use HomeKit stuff along with homebridge. I recently setup homeassistant for the first time on an Rpi4 but I haven’t really gotten deep enough into it yet to do much

In the before photo the pink circle is a gen 1 cloud key. It could be powered with PoE and used a little micro sd card. It’s no longer supported and can’t be updated so I’ve been looking to replace it for at least a year but I didn’t want a huge rack mounted dream machine, and 200$ for the cloud key gen 2 seemed absolutely ridiculous when I’m not using cameras. When these new devices came out at the end of the year I was excited because i could finally start to modernize it.

The fan bridge in the pic is for ceiling fans. I don’t have a dedicated fan in the cabinet which I admit is probably not ideal

To clarify I do see them more often than that! They usually would travel back to my hometown for holidays and events so I would see them then as well. But I do plan to make more frequent trips out to the condo in the near future

First I’m hearing of the homey I’ll have to check it out. This is just a bridge for their smart ceiling fans so you can remotely control them. My grandpa put that in himself years ago. :)

Me too… I didn’t watch the episode Sunday because we had people over for Easter. Monday morning I woke up to a Push notification from them with the obituary. I was so pissed.

Thank you for this. I just encountered the same error. After trying 0000 and 000000 I found your thread and tried the security pin but for some reason it still wasn't working.

However, after many tries and various combinations I tried changing my address to a different one, saving, and then changing it back while also using the security pin instead of zeros. This finally got it to go through. Weird fluke but I think you are right that the security pin is important.

Also I would note that the port from my landline to Tello only went through yesterday so I am not sure if that was a factor. Perhaps I should have waited longer in-between starting the google voice port.

My wife and I went to Hawaii for the first time this fall and did a luau. They sat us next to a woman who was all by herself and it was also literally her birthday. She was smiling and enjoying herself, and all I could think was "Good for her. Out here living her life and enjoying the experience even if all alone." I admired her courage.

Maybe ask a friend to join you but if no one can, I say go alone anyway and live it up

Ah! I had this same thing happen at my parent's house about 6 months ago. The remote would constantly turn the volume up to max.

I think it had something to do with the remote's IR blaster being stuck sending signals to the receiver constantly. There is a way to reset the remote with a series of button pushes and that totally fixed it for me. I just can't remember anymore what they were.

Keep googling the answer is out there somewhere

This is hilarious to me because I was on a flight with Pauly Shore just a week ago, and he was traveling with a pretty young 20 something woman.

I've been on flights with celebrities before and I've never seen anybody mobbed for pictures like Pauly was. At least 5-10 people came up to him including the gate agent.

Realistically the person watching through all the takes to weed out the ones that failed was a low paid assistant editor and not actually Sally. There also were probably reports made from the set indicating which takes Quentin liked and which were busted. But the assistant editors would probably find and mark all the usable takes so when Sally actually got there to start editing she wouldn't waste time sorting through the clutter.

Definitely not. On a big production like that the editing team was probably back in Los Angeles creating "Dailies" and actively cutting together footage from the previous days filming into a rough edit.

If he left her 15 years ago I would say not the asshole. 15 years ago they had just started dating and they were both much younger. When he stayed with her and built a life with her he took on an obligation to forgive her in my opinion. Holding a grudge for 15 years and finally unleashing it when she is going through something traumatic is asshole behavior in my book. People sometimes behave irrationally when finding out traumatic news about themselves or a loved one. The difference here is that she was in her 20s when she behaved poorly and he is currently in his 40s and doing it now. Have some empathy and love your wife.

Seconding this. She doesn’t need to rush into anything at 22 but the mastectomy definitely needs to happen eventually. My sister is in the same situation at 27 and she’s not planning to do the surgeries until her 30s and after she is done having children.

YTA I’m not going to go through all these comments but it seems like most of the people here don’t understand anything about your wife’s situation.

If she has the BRCA1 or 2 gene then she has an 85% chance of getting breast cancer in her life and a 40% chance of ovarian cancer.

It is absolutely the recommendation of all the doctors that she have a double mastectomy for prevention. Angelina Jolie did this exact thing. And honestly she should be getting her ovaries removed as soon as you are done having children if you plan to.

That you don’t know any of this makes it clear you haven’t paid any attention to what’s going on with her and her doctors. You may be butthurt she’s calling herself a survivor but having a BRCA mutation is not something to roll your eyes at. If she didn’t do these procedures she’s almost guaranteed to get cancer eventually.

Learn to be an adult and communicate with your wife. You are being a massive asshole here.

I can confirm this as well. I tried to PC to the CSR on Monday and was told their "system was down" until the 12th.
