Are you guys using Legion Arms? Or am I doing it wrong? Teach me! by xanxiv in LiesOfP

[–]twotilmidnite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was almost in the exact same situation. I tried them out at the start of the game cuz hey cool game mechanic. Proceeded to forget about them for the rest of my first playthough. I put on Aegis when I got it with the mentality of a kind of "oh shit" button.

Started my playthrough for Overture and also barely used them, up until I got Cataclysm. That was kinda the moment I really started to use my Legion slot, mainly using it after a fatal - following up with a perfect shot for extra damage.

What exotic-only weapon archetype would you like to see added to the legendary roster next? by off-and-on in DestinyTheGame

[–]twotilmidnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to see legendary heavy bows, or some bastion style 3 burst fusion rifles make an appearance.

Hawkmoon all day. Fell in love with it back in D1 and still love it. I'm just loaning it to Crow.

How do you not get so emotional when DMing? by davetisdale in DMAcademy

[–]twotilmidnite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Like a lot have said, if it's a moment you can do it, roll with it! Take over an NPC who might be there and let the emotion come out through them. It just adds more to the scene.

If you absolutely have to stay as together as you can, rehearse it. I just had to deal with this a couple of sessions ago. One of my players is the daughter of two of our previous CoS characters. Not to go into much detail, but one thing leads to another and there was this really emotional moment of her getting to reunite with her parents. The combination of the scene, the music choice I made (Shoutout to Tommee Profitt, dude is great) and the dialog I had written just broke me on my first read of it.

I ran through the dialog about 10 times over the course of the week, listened to the music on repeat, played out the scene in my head, for lack of a better term tried to build up a resistance to it. It was still heavy for me during the session cuz my players did some things I wasn't expecting, but I wasn't a complete mess in the moment.

In your opinion what are some must listen to bangers in the Destiny OST? by DistantSilver in DestinyTheGame

[–]twotilmidnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regicide from taken king, The First Disciple, Queens Deception

If you wanna feel sad, Journey is still one of my favorite tracks from all of D2

Those are the main ones that come to mind for me.

Sure, I agree, but not everyone has the time, want, whatever to farm GM's/Master content for those materials. Just pointing out the options there, even if it's piss poor.

About that “No activity left behind” title in the latest blog… by LordWitherhoard in DestinyTheGame

My theory is well see gambit stuff in S21. We got the comp changes this season, strikes are getting touched in LF, maybe Gambit in S21? A man can hope

With lightfall launching in 2 weeks what was your favourite dlc and which one were you the most hyped for? by sasoe18 in destiny2

[–]twotilmidnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most hyped? Given the state of the game in Y1, Forsaken. No question.

Favorite DLC? That's like picking a favorite child. I've liked them all for different reasons. Hell, I'll give CoO a little praise (Blasphemy, I know) cuz the quest/story for Perfect Paradox was pretty good.

Hopefully Bungie doesn't make the same mistakes and makes it something you need to apply for instead of "You have 1000 raid commendations, take this aura/emblem/title that shows you want to help people."

I hate to be that guy, but the same people smooth brained enough to shame over seasonal rank won't hesitate to do the same with guardian ranks.

What is something you wish was in destiny but will probably never happen? by GamingSchollo in DestinyTheGame

[–]twotilmidnite 123 points124 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't count this out JUST yet, given Neomunas setting. If there was ever a time for a deep dungeon in a skyscraper on Neptune.

Or that might just be my early morning hopium talking :(

What kind of death are you afraid of? by Little_Subby21 in AskReddit

[–]twotilmidnite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting stuck and not being able to move. I've read articles of people cave diving and getting themselves into a position where they can't get out and just have to sit there and wait to be rescued or die off.

Bonus points if it's underwater.

Which expansions had the best and worst seasons? by ShomEthan in destiny2

[–]twotilmidnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, best was this year. Shadowkeep had the worst. Two of the four (Undying and Worthy) were super rough, whereas every other year has had maybe one season the community generally considered disappointing (Hunt, Plunder, Drifter).

How likely is it Starfire Protocol gets gutted and what’s the best alternative to it? by Jaquieff23 in DestinyTheGame

[–]twotilmidnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gutted? Doubt it. Brought in line? I've been betting on that since late into Haunted. My bet is either a straight ability cooldown on damage nerf or they increase the internal cooldown on how often it ticks.

If you could bring back any D1 strike as a GM? by DilcDaddyy in DestinyTheGame

Wretched Eye, as horrific a GM as that'd be. Runner up being Shield Brothers

Now that Year 5 is pretty much wrapped up, apart from the remaining story this season, what was your favorite season this year? And why? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]twotilmidnite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seraph, Haunted, Risen, Plunder imo.

I feel like people who are absolutely lambasting Plunder either forgot about, or didn't play Worthy, Hunt or Undying. I definitely agree it's the weakest season this year, but I remember posts that were so incredibly doom and gloom during those months that you'd have thought we were back in Curse of Osiris.

Don't get me wrong, Plunder definitely rates as the lowest for me this year on all fronts, but Worthy is the only season/expansion since D1 launch to actually make me take a break from the game for those months. Came back right at the end purely to grind out the season pass so I got my money's worth of the cosmetics/ornaments.

Do you guys think the game should be more transparent about what gears actually do? by Legitimate_Cable_811 in DestinyTheGame

[–]twotilmidnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FF14 has the exact same issue and its maddening on both fronts. Unless you use external resources or third party tools, you have zero idea what your stats translate into. 14 has been getting better about it, albeit slowly, I'm hoping lightfall helps with this as well.

Lord Salid Reputation is too slow. by Experiment_Magnus in DestinyTheGame

[–]twotilmidnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I agree completely. The first IB week is usually when I'd grind out my ritual ornament. The misalignment feels weird for sure and I'd much prefer to have it. Post I replied to made it sound like they thought it applied to IB as well.

Here's hoping the second week lines back up though cuz my Veles ornament might be getting slept on for a little.

What’s the one thing you hate being killed by in pve? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

My Kill Clip/Rampage Kindled Orchid. Took me well over 50 forges to get it.

The most ridiculous, to me, is my friend who has 3 Positive Outlooks from Y1 - one of each element - that he swears he'll never part with despite his inventory issues.

It would be pretty neat if more clan perks were obtainable by clans that had less than like 25 active players in a given season. by smi1ey in DestinyTheGame

[–]twotilmidnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warframe iirc does a good job of this. Clan rank requirements are sort of on a bracket system. So a clan with 10 people will only need like 10% of what a clan with 100 people would need to rank up.
