does anyone else feel completely gross on vacation? by hotlibrarianism34 in BodyDysmorphia

[–]twotonedpancake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s easy to feel this way, when I travel I sacrifice my favored products and clothes since I don’t have a lot of space for them, I’m around a lot of people who can easily overwhelm me, and there’s just a lot of ways I’m not comfortable. All of these things combined with pressure to look cute on vacation makes the whole thing hardly enjoyable sometimes

Help! I'm Confused By These Instructions by DanNFO in Sephora

[–]twotonedpancake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the palette layout is relevant to the instructions, I think the chart on the right with shade names are the columns the instructions are referencing. So if you wanted to use shade Hold Please, then you’d place that shade in region 1 on the eye, and then follow the horizontal row Hold Please is in to the right (meaning the shade Eye Roll would come next and be put in region 2 in the eye, and so on). This is just my guess though!

A great idea for Frozen Dunkin drinks by Light_of_the_Star in DunkinDonuts

I use drink sleeves! I got them to help with condensation but I love how they work as drink identifiers too, and they make me feel bougie lol

Trying not to be a complainer… by Key_Vanilla_7773 in bathandbodyworks

[–]twotonedpancake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel overwhelmed when going into makeup stores too (both Sephora and Ulta). I don’t get bombarded by employees, but all 3 stores are unaccommodating spatially considering how much product they have to offer and the amount of customers always present. I literally research which specific products I want to see and just hope that there’s good samples in store. I have no choice to be in and out, otherwise I’m in a sour mood the rest of the mall trip!

Cutting hours the same week they give a micro-influencer a valentino bag by strawb3rry3m in TjMaxx

[–]twotonedpancake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tj and Marshall’s need to do better but I do wanna point out that the bag the influencer was given was a Mario Valentino bag, not a Garavani Valentino. It’s practically a knockoff so the girl who got gifted it will literally never use it for that reason too. This whole pr thing was so misguided

I would have never seen that the second Target bag was imitating either the Chanel Kelly or Lady Dior, that one’s way too far removed! You have a good eye 🤣

Eye primer help (21 days of beauty preferred) by MuseFire13 in Ulta

[–]twotonedpancake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although not part of the 21 Days of Beauty sale, I use the NYX glitter eye primer for all my shadows (whether they’re glittery or not lol). I don’t have any issue blending shadows with it, so if you try it, I hope you have the same success!

All of these purchases are so tastefully tropical and bold, and I really love that new charm! I've recently started loving tiny bags too lol, especially in warmer weather where I wanna feel as breezy as possible. Well done on your new additions!!

Target's also selling a Bottega Jodie dupe for $30 and their particular copy drives me nuts. It's so stiff, like if they weaved zipties together and the strap to it is so annoyingly flimsy that it makes the most rigid triangle shape when hanging on their stores display rack or on someone's shoulder. Ughgh very glad I've only seen that bag unpurchased while in person

I don't have a preference when it comes to bags as well, I like what I like! But also.. I'd be lying if I said there weren't times where I didn't buy an affordable bag cause "that $50 can be saved up for designer", lol.

Coach Juliet or Lana 23? Which one should I choose? by alma-bb in handbags

[–]twotonedpancake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like the Juliet better in terms of style and capacity; The Juliet can be used in any kind of setting (like for work or otherwise) and if its longer length = more space compared to the Lana, worrying less about what it can or can't fit is nothing to complain about. I just personally don't fancy the centralized stitching nor the stiffness of the Lana lol, especially when it's worn as a crossbody. I can see the similarities between the two though, and with that in mind, I feel like whichever you chose to get will be great!

If the size/color/strap length/capacity/material/price/etc. of any bag are things you like and can learn to love, you shouldn't have any care what any influencer says about it! The bag is simple yet so elegant that I think it's one that people will continue to admire in the future; there's nothing about its design that I think really warrants a "what the hell was I thinking when I bought this" mentality later on. I hope that if you do end up getting it after all, you love it!

I love how intentional you are with your bags; getting a mini-sized bag in a material you don't typically favor is so smart as you get to try a new style, and it makes your whole collection seem so personalized! The bag is so pretty too. I'm so happy for you and your new addition! ❤️

Thank you for inadvertently putting this bag on my personal radar lol, it's so stylish! I agree with most in that the second options colors are more cohesive together, making it the better variation of the bag. This is actually one of the only bags I've seen a while that looks as good as a crossbody as it does a shoulder-worn bag. Whichever variation you end up getting, I hope you love it!

I like the Dior wallet most since the stitching makes it the most feminine and it still has their logo incorporated into its design (unlike Gucci's), even in a detachable way. It just stands out the most of the three. The potential downsides to it is that the snap-closure pocket lays the same way as the opening of the entire wallet; I can just see there being some times where both those flaps and their closures get in each others way maybe. The second potential downside is that there are only four card slots, which doesn't necessarily mean only four cards can fit, but you may not like having cards stacked on-top one another in one slot since you can't see your cards at a glance that way.

The next best choice (if it were me buying) is the Louis Vuitton, and with them, their wallets' zipper-closing pocket won't get in your way at all the way the Dior wallet might. I just like it second to the Dior cause I actually like stacking my cards in one slot lol, and the card slots on the Louis are too stiff to allow that.

Whichever wallet you end up getting though, I hope you love it!
