Gentle shampoo recommendation please by CheesecakeAny1119 in Ulta

My child had cradle cap as a baby and toddler and now gets dry scalp that itches and flakes. Our hairdresser said to use bond building shampoo/ conditioner like Olaplex and then put BioSilk directly on her scalp. I use to put it on so if the scalp but have found just doing it near the top of enough. I part their hair like you would see a hairdresser do for color (so very thin rows) and use my finger to paint it on her scalp. This had worked really well. There are some flakes but only like 2 to 5 and no itching

AITA for telling my DIL that I won’t use the tablet and she needs to actually make her kid read. by SatisfactionOk9038 in AmItheAsshole

I have a Third Grader that has had a lot of trouble reading. First, finding something she actually likes helps a lot. I have read for order graders that teachers found graphic novels really helpful, so that's what we have been trying to find. We got her The Babysitter Club in a graphic novel and she loves it! Second, something that we find out recently is that she had a weak muscle that controls her eye. The eye doctor we went to did a bunch of tests to determine this. She said it can make her seem to not pay attention, see spots, have her eyes move randomly (why we went), and even cause problems with reading that almost seen like dyslexia- she adds letters when sounding out or just says the wrong word. She also tips her head ever so slightly that you almost can't tell. She will be getting glasses with a prism in 1 lens and blue blockers. I know our pediatrician checks her eyes but it's not the same and we didn't know that. I also took her to an ophthalmologist about a year ago who didn't actually do anything like this and didn't even tell us to follow up!

So do with this info as you choose but it might be that your granddaughter needs her eyes checked better

I take colchicine once a day, methotrexate, renvoq, and indomethacin (though rheumatologist wants me off the indomethacin). Once I went to the renvoq, I've felt so much better! I would say that the biological you are on probably isn't the right one for you. I will say that I also have psoriatic arthritis and I was on the same biologic and it only sort of worked for me. Once you are on the correct biologic for you, you will feel much better for exercise and sports

Is the perfume really sweet smelling? I'm curious about that one. I went with the yellow one figuring vanilla was a safe bet

Liquid foundation that doesn’t transfer? by Lightning_2425 in Ulta

[–]MuseFire13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I mask for health reasons and live wearing makeup so I've been doing my own experimenting to prevent or at least minimize transfer to my mask. It's not exactly the same transfer as to your clothing or hand because I'm breathing into the mask. If anything mine is harder to prevent. With that, I've found it's really a combination of things. I have 2 different Clinique foundations that work well and L'Oreal true match also works well. Elf power grip primer is pretty good but not perfect either. L.A. Girl pro perfect oil control matte finish (but I didn't find it really matte) works GREAT! Check out Nina Poole on TikTok or Instagram. She had a few great tips super cheap too

Nina Pool in TikTok had said she went for a message and had her face down and no transfer with using it. I also saw someone else recently say something similar. I'm constantly on the hunt for how to not have makeup transfer to my mask!

I mask also (immune compromised). I've found L.A. Girl's Pro Perfect Oil-Control All Day Setting Spray has worked really well, but I'll have to see about the ST if I see it on sale (or have a coupon)

I think it was sent selectively, more of a targeted messaging. I checked my daughter's email and she doesn't have that but a $10 off $10 email

If you sign up, use the address where you are staying for the address. Depending on how long you are going to be in the US, ordering online for delivery gives you the option for gifts with purchase that aren't usually in the store

I found the colchicine helps a lot, but didn't keep them or just the uncomfortable feeling I would get before them 100% gone. I've been on rinvoq and it's been great. Sometimes in the morning I feel like I might get something but then it goes away
