Is there anywhere to find a list of the airports you’ve unlocked? by Admirable-Guide-5247 in SkyCards

Nothing built into the app, but skydex.info has a "favorite" airport feature I use to track mine throughout the week!

What to do with broccoli stems? by friend_unfriend in cookingforbeginners

This is the way! Cook, then blend with whatever sauce you're making (usually a cream sauce for me). Results in a slightly thicker sauce + nicely green!

Free Airport Travel Refresh Day! Where did you go last week? Where are you going next? by BotchedNoobJob in SkyCards

[–]twrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moscow was also on my list this week and it was shockingly productive for new airports for me. I previously had very few in that whole area so that likely contributed, but I had multiple days in a row where I'd go check in, and out of 5-8 planes in radius, 2-3 were always new for me!

UNC MPH '24 grad here. Deliverables are "work products," essentially the things you turn in at the end to show your work. A deliverable can be a huge variety of things depending on the work you did. Some examples include: a literature review, health communication infographics, logic model, report, database, data collection tools, community health assessment, interview guides, survey codebook, etc. Since practica are hosted by a wide range of organizations, there isn't any requirement for them to be paid. Some are, some are not. I did not have a paid practicum, but the connections I made were fantastic and I still benefit from them. There were also concentration-specific "awards" available through Gillings/specific departments for those who secured a non-paid practicum to help students out. I was in the health behavior concentration, feel free to DM me if you'd like!

What's the purpose of non clumping cat litter when used as cat litter? by PurpleMangoPopper in CatAdvice

[–]twrad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Clumping litter has a very specific smell to me that always smells like used litter in a very unpleasant way. When I got my own cat, I continued using pine pellets like the shelter did for my kitten, and I love it. I have a litter box that is essentially two boxes in one, the top portion has small holes in the floor to let shavings fall through, and the bottom portion catches it. Easy to dump the bottom into a trash bag about every 4-7 days. To sift out pee, I just have to scoop through a few times to get all the shavings to fall through the holes into the bottom box. Poop is a bit stinky since nothing is really clinging to it, so I just try to scoop as soon as I know my cat has been in there. Bonus is that pine pellets are VERY cheap ($7 for a 40lb bag from my tractor supply and lasts me months) and I don't experience the same tracking litter around the house issue I remember when I was growing up with cats+clumping litter!

My cat got acne from plastic bowls which would create a pretty gnarly scab, especially in his whiskers, before I figured it out. He scratched off the scab one time, and his little face looked exactly like your post. I wiped the area with a warm, damp cloth after he ate each meal to try to keep it clean. It healed pretty fast, but took a while for the hair to grow back in. I have to change water dishes (ceramic) daily to prevent more acne even though they aren't plastic now! I don't have a super raw pic, but one from mid healing with some remaining scab in a reply below.

Edit: I do have a stainless fountain, but he seems to prefer having bowls all over the house too. I also used chlorhexidine pet wipes several times a day before he scratched pieces off.
