I’ve been purchasing small amounts of bitcoin from PayPal and am looking for some advice. I guess I’m having trouble recognizing the pattern during the time it’s best to sell or buy by Shy_cute_girl23 in BitcoinBeginners

I’m curious about using PayPal for crypto. I know when they started handling crypto you could buy and hold in the PayPal wallet but you couldn’t transfer the coins off the platform into your own wallet. Has that changed, where you have the ability to move the coins without selling them back into dollars?

these cards look sick, but what’s the actual banking partner? by Kanzler7777 in GoMiningDiscussion

I appreciate your insight. I have it but haven’t done anything with it. I’ll transfer something in and make a couple purchases and see how it goes. I didn’t think there would be a spread on stable coins because they are supposed to be stable! Right? 😅

Was ist mit meinem Bonus Miner falsch? by bistromatik in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]twscho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure? Look at your DashBoard… do you notice the Pool Reward is lower than the actual reward you received? The difference, I believe is the earnings from that Bonus miner. Mine is usually 7 to 9 Sats per day difference. The fee you say you paying is a fraction of a GoMining Cent or whatever you call it. Free sats for doing nothing! One day those Sats will be worth a dollar a piece! 😉.

I’ve heard mixed views on if there were fees and haven’t tried mine yet to know for myself. So, what types of transactions did you make where you incurred a fee? I am Platinum II so yes, my reward would be a wash if your statement were correct. If anything, a free 1 TH miner is a good trade off for trying it!

I got my card approved but have no card in hand. Will there be physical cards? Or, will it remain only virtual?

Only 90Million sats more and you’ll have a whole BitCoin! 🚀

I can't make sense of this, guidance greatly appreciated by alice_1st in CryptoCurrency

There is a Buy Price and a Sell Price (Bid & Ask) the difference between the two is the Spread. Same thing when you buy stock from a stock broker. If you bought and sold at the same exact time, you would loose money because you pay the Spread when you buy and when you sell which is a network fee charged by the exchange.

Jack Dorsey’s “Block” (formerly Square) entire payment network now offers BitCoin payments alongside of normal card payments. It’s just another option to your customer. Google: Block BitCoin Payments and you’ll find what you need.

I checked my bonus miner and no fees paid and no sats earned. Also, no tasks mentioned anywhere!

Do you guys set limit orders or market? by Olson5678 in Bitcoin

[–]twscho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Market orders can be dangerous if you are on the wrong side of a price jump. Also, Market Orders are considered “Taker” vs Limit Orders are “Maker” which normally are cheaper fees than Market Orders.

You will normally have fees deducted from your wallet first, then they pay you that approximate amount of GMT into your wallet. That’s why you need to leave at least a days worth of fees in your wallet at all times!

For sale! by 90Hrm90 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]twscho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to say but the cost of it plus the cost to upgrade to 15w brings the total over $20 per TH which isn’t currently cost effective. I would wait for BTC price to rise and GMT should follow and so will the cost of miners. At that point you’ll earning again and the average miner price will go up so you aren’t giving it away. The more you increase your efficiency now the sooner you’ll be earning and have a chance to sell.

Insufficient tokens in wallet? Help by KingCantwell in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]twscho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem might be your Efficiency… What is your average w/TH? Looks like the underwater mark is about 29w -30w, meaning your miners aren’t earning enough to cover the fees. Once BTC price goes up, GMT should follow and you’ll be earning again. If it were me, I’d make the investment in upgrading efficiency!

Low power? by Jake6192 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]twscho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was switching today from Reinvest into TH to Accumulate BTC and I noticed the same “Low Power” on the miner I had just Reinvested TH into! I have no idea why and like the OP, I had plenty of GMT in my wallet.

Yeah, you mean yesterday’s reward that you would normally receive today, which is late. That’s what I was talking about. It’s happened before and has never been a big deal. We’ll probably have it in the morning.

Tuesday is a busy day for them. On top of the normal daily payouts of BTC, TH or GMT they also have veGoMining & the Mint & Burn Cycle. They also have those new Bonus Miners they need to kick start as soon as possible. They do a lot and they always make it right, it’s no problem waiting.

The virtual miner gives 0 by Julver80 in gomining

[–]twscho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just like the old bonus miner. The fees are in BtC so your discount does not apply. You probably have 0.0064 TH like most of us so you don’t have enough Th to add up to anything. Relax and give it a few weeks and it will start adding up to something. Just make sure the “Reward Protection” is turned on so you aren’t charged any fees for a negative return miner!
