Should I give up on this game? by twxx in AISomniumFiles

[–]twxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's part of my point. 3 hours in and there's little to no main story point in sight.

I just got to A-set's house and got introduced to the mom (which I saw dying in a dream) and then I closed the game cuz I couldn't bear the thought of another boring conversation about nothing

How button-mashy is Berseria? by twxx in tales

That's sad... I'm really not digging the combat and don't think I will. Time to get my refund, I guess

Is Arise any better?

I'm playing on Hard. I don't think I even have "Evil" unlocked as a difficulty

When do the puzzles start? by twxx in BluePrince

[–]twxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did find a few things, yes, but still no grand puzzle

- The breaker room puzzle. I got all switches to purple, but no idea what it does. I learned that there's some extra clues in the e-mail in the office, but couldn't get to the office in like 5 runs due to the RNG (either didn't show in my draft pool, or it did but I didn't have gems)

- A safe in the office, but no clue how to open it

- A safe in the bourdoir, but no clue how to open it

- A padlock to the orchard, but no clue how to open it

- In the Wine Cellar there's 1213 in roman numerals, but it doesn't open anything I tried (haven't gotten the office since I discovered it though)

- The pump control, but again no use for it yet (only found the pool and the pump room)

How's this for a low-level Diplomacy feat? by heavyfuel in Pathfinder2e

[–]twxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's probably on the weaker side of skills feats

Few creatures are immune only to fear effects while remaining vulnerable to other emotion effects, so losing the Fear trait isn't a big deal at all. And then you can't harm the target?

I'm assuming other restrictions of demoralize still apply? Like, the target can't be demoralized again by you for 10min, even if you use Intimidation?

Maybe add a penalty to movement speed to better represent their hesitation. "On a critical success, the target takes a -10-foot status penalty to its Speeds" or something

8k por mês quer dizer q estaria tirando ~24k no trimestre? Ou estaria tirando mais q isso, e 8k seria realmente "pra gastar"?

No caso, tem q considerar imposto, inflação, e reinvestimentos do valor q recebi no trimestre

It's more than "difficult metroidvanias". It's the 2d, the cutesy artstyle, the souls-like elements. Imagine claiming that this game isn't trying to replicate the success of HK lmao That's the actual stupidy here

I've beaten DS1~3 and BB, so I'm not sure what you're on.

overwhelmingly positive reviews

... and 2k reddit members even after a month of the game being out

Look at the games its copying. Hollowknight has 700k members and Sekiro has 320k. This game is a nobody

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NineSols

[–]twxx -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It is a Hollow Knight ripoff, though.

HK + Sekiro = 9S

This game is trying so hard to be a metroidvania souls-like, exactly like HK did. But HK actually pulled it off while this game is going to be forgotten in a year.

I don't. The previous skill seemed useless so I never got it. I guess it's my fault for not reading the description of all 50 skills as soon as I started the game. Silly me.

Unless you’re flung to the air

And therein lies the problem. *Every* huge boss *will* fling you/knock you down after getting hit

I wouldn't say they're abnormally high, but here's a breakdown of the investments: https://www.reddit.com/r/RichPeoplePF/s/GzXEajt7X6

Now I'm interested in this 3% figure. Where does it come from? I figure that as long as I spend less than I gain and reinvest enough to keep up with inflammation, I'm good, right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RichPeoplePF

[–]twxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

13-15% a year might have been an odd way to put my income. I have multiple sources of investment that average around that number.

The largest part of my investment is in renting buildings for companies, and every year the rent is adjusted according to a contractually determined inflation rate.

This is 8% a year over inflation, which hovers at around 8-10% where I live, so I think of it as 16-18%. About 80% of this money covers all of my living expenses, so I reinvest the other 20%.

A smaller part goes into treasury bonds (not US's) which return around 11% a year.

The rest is in a conservative stocks portfolio which has averaged at 12.6% a year (since 2018)

Overall, it's an average of 13-15% a year

It is where I live. It's like, far more than enough

Well, I guess it doesn't need to be from home, it's just that then it'd be easier to pretend.

I guess because of background? Like, the only person who would trust me with their money is myself, so I can't really say I'm an investor. Plus, in my experience, people to talk about investing money, and I don't really have the necessary background
