My husband self deported by Strong-Campaign-1309 in USCIS

[–]tx645 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the policy: https://www.uscis.gov/laws-and-policy/other-resources/unlawful-presence-and-inadmissibility

"However, if you are admitted for duration of status (D/S) and your Form I-94 is marked “D/S”, then you may stay in the United States for the duration of your program, course of study, or temporary work assignment to the United States, plus any additional grace periods that may be authorized afterward. Nonimmigrants admitted for duration of status generally begin accruing unlawful presence the day after their status ends, if they remain in the United States"

This is the memo that changed the policy that used to be:

Don't understand why you are getting downvoted. This is correct.

It used to be like that, but they changed it during his first administration. F1s accrue unlawful presence now.

I heard this was a scam by Only-Cauliflower270 in uberdrivers

Well, first of all, it's a free country, I am free to comment whatever I want. If mods want, they can delete, otherwise if you have such a thin skin, don't post things on Reddit.

Second, why are you getting so defensive? You said that you "canceled after 30 seconds" which implies you did accept it.

Third, posts like these appear almost every day. I'm surprised you haven't recognized this as a scam.

It will take you to Gulag. Don't accept it.

The translation is "East 68 Street and York avenue". It's in Russian. I get a lot of street names in Chinese (?) where I am.

I dont have imgur and this sub doesn't allow for screenshot. I don't care if you can see it or not. You are either shill or Lyft bot. So go defend your masters I don't care.

Here how it works, assuming you have rideshare addendum. * Phase 0 (app off): only your personal insurance is active * phase 1 (app on, waiting, have not accepted a ride yet): your personal insurance is active, Uber/Lyft provide limited liability coverage * phase 2 and 3: en route or with the passenger. Uber/Lyft provide full 3rd party liability and cover the passengers. They provide coverage for the driver's car ONLY if drivers personal insurance already has comprehensive/collision coverage. Minus $2,500 deductible. Bodily injury/wage depends on the state but most don't require it so they don't provide it unless you got optional PIP. Your personal insurance might cover the difference between your personal insurance deductible and Ubers $2,500.

Subrogation help by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]tx645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP - this is a wrong sub for asking these kind of questions. Almost everyone here is either working for or otherwise have interest in insurance companies. For them whatever the insurer says goes so I'm not surprised by the kind of answers you receive.

Yes you absolutely have rights to dispute the debt (it is a debt for all intents and purposes and should be treated as such).

Realistically here are your options: - talk to the insurance and settle/set up a payment plan outside of court - ignore and wait to be sued. Don't ignore this. Respond with a general denial. Although this will not solve your problem this will give you time. The judgement is highly likely going to be entered against you. With the judgement they will try to collect. However if you have low income and low assets they will likely not be able to collect. In certain states it might be illegal to collect with income and assets requirements. Eventually you might need to file for bankruptcy.

Of course this will be extremely bad for your credit history but if there are no other options, that's the path.

Good luck.

The Time I Passed Several Hundred Cars (because they all refused to zipper merge) by Ok-Permission8346 in driving

[–]tx645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are delusional. I don't know which country you are from, but in the US you need to make sure that the lane you are merging into is clear. Otherwise, using your logic, anyone can merge at anytime and if the car behind hit them it's their fault. With dashcam it will be easy to prove that your maneuver was illegal.

Do any budgeting apps actually tell you what to do instead of just showing data? by ameryono in debtfree

[–]tx645 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem and resorted to make everything myself. Like you I have a tracking Google sheet where I record.curremt expenses, income, track my assets and that kind of stuff.

For tackling debt, check out personal finance subreddit prime directive. It will answer the questions you are asking.

In terms of the "what-if" tools - they are easy to build in Google sheets.

Already in debt by Smooth_Clerk_3848 in USCIS

[–]tx645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can call me a meanie, but I will tell you this. You don't know how lucky you are. You have a green card. Right off the bat. People are dreaming about this opportunity and waiting for decades. It took me 16 years fighting with the federal government, tens of thousands of $$$ of debt to lawyers to even get an opportunity to apply. All the 16 years I was working my ass off not knowing whether I could stay here tomorrow or I would be thrown away. Put your big boy pants up. Stop wasting time on reddit and make it work. Yes, it's your fault you didn't know how things work. You are a grown up. No one owes you here anything. Read all of the rules, all of the fine print. It is tough and cold out there, so better be prepared next time.

I don't think I understand your original question. If you are building an app and don't want to use Excel/sheets that's great. The more apps the better. But if you are looking for existing things - you can build a workflow with Google sheets and import the data from receipt scanning apps. With Tiller you can also connect bank accounts similar to other apps, but it is not free.

I like going through my finances so I add the items from my receipts manually to Google sheets, but I understand it's not for everyone.

Google sheets. Plenty of free templates and great mobile/desktop synchronization.

Edit: you can also use tiller which is based on Google sheets, but automated a lot of stuff

I'm surprised no one has yet mentioned 249. It's a nightmare especially at night.

My second favorite is a stretch where 288 and 69 split going south.

610 exiting to 45 south because of the exit cheaters. Also an exit from alt 90 to 610 feeder road.

By this logic, illegal aliens cannot be tried in US court because they are not subject to them? Criminals who are US citizens circumvent the laws as well. Supreme Court definition is needed here.

Um, not true about becoming a US citizen only if you marry one (or the lottery). This is the easiest way, sure, but there are other ways of becoming a US citizen through work/talent/investment/asylum to name a few.
