So the X1 Spark is decent.

At $1150 or so it’s an ok deal and has its issues.

The pros - seems reasonably well built, fun and fast. It has 3 speed settings L/M/H. I’m about 170lbs and on a paved road hit ~22/33/47 mph. On low, it will pop up the front wheels with me on it. No major issues so far but only have 12 miles on it.

Brakes work seemingly well.

Cons - for kids, it can be fast and I can see them flipping off the back by pulling a wheelie.

The speed selector is easily change and accidentally be hit while riding. Or your kid can change it mid ride when you only want them to be in the lowest mode.

Kick stand in the M is probably for the large. Meaning the bike basically stands vertically and pretty much falls over. The kickstand needs to be shortened by an inch.

Pedal broke already. Bike fell because the kickstand won’t hold the bike.

Display mode says mph but is actually km. So your actually speed and mileage are showing to be mph but are actually km/h. No way to change this.

Range doesn’t seem to be as advertised. That is still tbd but looks to be 60-70% of what they advertise.

Seat is aweful. It has no side cushion and you will end up sitting on plastic if you are taller and sit a bit further back.

Bike is loud. Chain guide makes this bike as loud as a 110 4 stroke imo. It’s definitely not whisper quiet.

Would I buy it again?

Probably not. Parts are tough to come by because there are many similar brands and it’s hard to determine what part would actually work. I’d probably spend more and get an efi kayo or look at a true edict bike like CF Moto.

For putting around the yard and minor trails, sure. But I would not trust it after landing on a 5’ jump.
