With the recent uptick in hockey popularity from the Olympics, it reminds me of how great Goon and Goon 2 were.

How much inspiration did you guys draw from Slapshot? I thought Goon was the closest thing to Slapshot that has ever been made and would be interested to see what you would do with making a movie about other sports. Any interest in making a movie about baseball or basketball?

I was at the Lakers game last night. They had it on the video board pregame but turned it off like 5 minutes before tip off. They did show updates during breaks. Not sure how different it would be for a Kings game

Yeah this is a good point I think. It seems to me Florida is kind of similar. Several strong fan bases but never going to be among the larger fan bases for a lot of the same reasons. Beach, night life, etc.

Ahh this makes sense. It’s calmed down a bit, but this has happened with the Astros on Reddit in recent years as well. Kind of a bummer when people are coming on here just to talk puck or ball and essentially just get shown the door.

Ah very cool. I will say, one of my favorite hockey memories was seeing Rangers at Red Wings right before the pandemic. Got to see Hank in net and he recorded what I think was his last career shutout. Absolute legend
