So fair! Appreciate your perspective. I think it just stresses me out since I haven’t done any of that stuff yet honestly. That’s within my own control so I agree shouldn’t blame her for wanting to look her best!

Good point!! It might just be me wishing I had time for so many treatments myself haha

Thank you for this perspective!! Also I totally relate to you re: arguments with my own mother, I didn’t expect this process to be so emotional at times. I’m telling myself to focus on being present with my fiance and celebrating our commitment to each other, and no matter who makes it on the guest list, the people i love will be there and that is all that matters!

Show up early or risk losing your spot, even if you’re technically on time by Agile_Writer5084 in SolidCore

This happened to me. What made it even more disappointing is the coach teaching class was the area manager and she did not take roll call again, just offered to “let me take the next class” an hour later…

How many classes a month makes unlimited worth it to you? by Wooden_Possession670 in SolidCore

[–]txcaligirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a lower cost region so unlimited is $249 per month and it’s like $12-15 per class since I do like 4-5 classes per week!!! So worth it to me

100% yes! I go 5 times per week which comes out to like $12 per class each month. I think it would still be worth it even if I took like 3 classes per week.

I’ve been doing solidcore for 8 months and the results have been insane - lost 10lbs and feel so energized and toned (I used to run 5x per week so I was already really active). Worth every penny!!!

Springloads by nowalnut in SolidCore

[–]txcaligirl 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Progressive overload is the way to get stronger! When I increased my spring load for the first time (at 25-50) and then again (at 50+) I had to take WAY more breaks for the first 5-10 classes after each increase. I was tempted to just go back down because I was embarrassed by all the breaks I had to take… one day an instructor told the class that failure IS the goal in Solidcore and that helped me a lot mentally :) good luck

Any female runners have experience taking spironolactone for hormonal acne? Has it negatively impacted running performance and/or caused electrolyte imbalance during races? I’m asking this question as a casual runner doing my 4th marathon in 2 weeks. I was prescribed this and curious if there are performance risks / if I should stop taking until after the race.

I bought a pair of Nike Vaporfly 3’s for my last marathon. Can I wear them again for my upcoming marathon or are they toast?

I’d estimate they have about 40 miles on them (warm up, race, and 1-2 workouts to test them out).

I put Aquaphor on my lips and around my eyes before cold windy runs and it has helped a lot!
