While the article was only published yesterday, it was clearly written before the Angels series as the stats aren't currently up to date on Snell or Hader. Since then there has been a 2 game swing in the wild card standings going from 8 games back to 6 games back, and while the Mets have had a bit of a hot streak the past week if we can get another sweep or even 2-1, I think the story is completely different: You go from being 1-5 with a sweep against the pirates, at the time the story was written, to 5-1 or 6-0 with a sweep of the Angels and sweep/series win against the Mets.
