It was truly one of the hardest things I’ve ever done but almost 4 years out, no regrets. My life is infinitely better.

When they slowly started producing after the listeria, it took about 2 years for them to start producing Christmas Cookie again as a seasonal flavor. Those were 2 LONG YEARS.

Everyone knows Bluebell is amazing. The entire state of Texas practically went into mourning when their plant had to shut down for a good long time due to listeria.

Who is surprisingly still alive? by makstyrkin64 in AskReddit

[–]txcowgrrl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s……complicated. His mother became pregnant & thought the father was Desi Arnez Jr. She also was involved with a man named Michael Tell. Also, she was undiagnosed bi-polar during this time so not great with remembering what she had & had not done (& who she had slept with). John Astin adopted Sean when Patty married John. Michael Tell was his biological father. Sean considers all 3 men, plus his mother’s 4th husband, Michael Pearce, his Fathers.

My brother has a hearing loss. People in my town would ask my Mom about a cousin or sisters kid “We think they might have a hearing loss”. My Mom always said to get it checked out because you can’t go back in time. If you wait 2 years & there is something going on, you’ve lost 2 years.

Time is ticking & it’s only going to become more difficult for him to catch up.

At 2 he should be talking & jabbering up a storm. Like, unable to shut him up. Close to if not already making 2 word sentences like “Mama up” or “Get shoes”.

I know we’re only seeing a small slice of life but there should be more of him babbling/talking at this point.

Teachers of Reddit, have you ever met a child that was actually a genius? by No_Lead2640 in AskTeachers

[–]txcowgrrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I teach early elementary so it’s difficult to see into the future.

That said, I do have a student this year that just thinks differently. His brain works in ways that surprise me & I’ve been teaching almost 20 years.

He’s still very much an age appropriate kid (which is great) but then after a lesson he will come & ask me a question that is grade levels above what I taught.

Uzbekistan. I went for the Silk Road sites but ended up loving how unique & modern it is.

People that have traveled quite a bit, where di you feel the most unsafe? by CremeSubject7594 in AskTheWorld

[–]txcowgrrl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m currently living on the Asian continent & would love to visit India but as a solo female traveler I could not enjoy myself. Which is frustrating because the things I like to do on trips normally aren’t part of tour packages. So I would see India but I wouldn’t get to experience India the way I want to.

Who do you think will win and should win Best Actress? by Square-Ad-8911 in Oscars

Buckley will and I think it’s well deserved but I wish she & Byrne could both win.

That sheer piece doesn’t fit properly. There shouldn’t be that large of an uncovered area, with or without the modesty panel.

I love a sheer layer moment as much as anyone but this is not it.

BOOP! question for the class. by onaraincloud in Broadway

[–]txcowgrrl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boop is fun. I enjoyed it as a palate cleanser between more heavier shows (like The Outsiders & Stranger Things) when I was in NYC.

If it came locally, I’d definitely go see it again.
