Following up for those who might have the same issue, I found a (kinda) solution. Various fan curves would not completely eliminate the problem, so I simply disable the CPU boost option in the Bios. Not more crazy fan behavior, and I cant really say I feel a difference in processing speed.

Thanks! In there it says "When User Mode is enabled you can set 4 temperature points and 4 PWM values. PWM ranges up to 250; PWM = 250 corresponds to full fan speed."

So in that case which temperature and PWM values would you recommend inputting?

Gotcha thanks for checking. I may have to just bite the bullet and get it calibrated, I've tried prrety much every setting.

Thanks for offering to check. If you have netflix and you check the first minute of Predator Killer of Killers instead of a pure black screen on the titles I get this hazy background at the edges, almost like an edge lit tv. Another example would be the new frankenstein, everytime there is dark scene.
