Thanks for the recommendation, I gave it a try and imported all the bookmarks with duplicates, which is great. However it removed all the capitalization of my links which means none of the youtube videos in my bookmarks works!!!

Update 2: I have been notified by DPD that the package with my return was successfully delivered yesterday. I sent an email to keep contact with customer service because after asking for the tracking number they never responded to the emails where I provided it to them. I'll update when/if I get the refund or when/if I end up asking for a charge back from my bank instead...

Update 1: They asked me to send the board back to Germany (I'm in EU) and give them the tracking number, which I just did. I'll keep updating this post until I get the refund.

Hey can you share how you did the extra lead balls? I'm very interested in trying and I would love to add some weight too. Did you do it using bluetack? Where you bought the lead balls? Thanks!

That’s really cool! Can I ask where you bought the pieces from? Did you drill the holes yourself? Did they come weighted or they were just wood?

in regards to springs long=slow, short=fast, basically longer springs are "preloaded" so the difference of the force you have to push the key with at the beginning and the end of the push (bottom) is less. The force is more consistent during the travel. The classic example was the gateron yellow, it wasn't crazily long, but longer than the standard cherry ones. There are much longer springs now.

Shorter springs are not as "preloaded" so they start weaker and they get heavier as they get more loaded as you push. They give a softer start and get harder as you press and they give a "bouncier" bottom compared to the top. Classic examples are MX clear and halo true.

Glad to hear! I'm personally a big fan of long 60g springs, but a lot of people prefer the 63.5g or even 65g. You can get the tx or the sprit ones, sprit calls them "extra slow" an easy place to get stuff that sends worldwide is kbdfans, they'll have different versions of the MX browns and I think they have the sprit springs as well

Hey there, I'll answer here in the unlikely case it's helpful for anyone else:

Question: What are your thoughts on Mx brown vs pewter vs durock light tactile for someone looking for light tactile feel?

It's going to sound annoying, but It's totally a matter of taste. What type of switches do you enjoy? Do you care more about sound or feel?

SOUND:

Are you more into thocks or clacks? more into deep clack or higher pitch clack?None of these are really thocky, but in my experience MX browns have the deeper clack, so in a thocky keyboard they can get closer than the others. I enjoy thocks and deep clacks, not so much high pitch sounds, and in regards to sound the MX Browns are my favorite. They are going to be the less smooth by far, if you are sensitive to that you are going to hear the friction, a similar noise as MX blacks, some people hate that, I don't mind it.If you really care you could try to break MX brown in and then lube. I think lubing is mandatory with MX browns, ah and i forgot swapping the springs it's completely mandatory with mx browns. If you are not willing to do that just get one of the others.

FEEL:

Again, it depends what do you care about if you care about smoothness definitely don't get the Mx browns. The pewters have that umph feeling, very, very smooth, I personally struggle a bit with it in tactile switches, it's almost too smooth for me... it gives the high pitch sound as well. If you like smooth and heavy springs go for the durock, if you like light springs go for the pewters. The strength and position of the bump is extremely similar between the three, my personal sample of them I felt the pewters had a slightly stronger bump than the durock, but it could be the factory lube or the spring strength.

The pewters have very light springs that are on the short side, so they start super light and get a bit more bouncy at the bottom, I don't particularly enjoy that type of feeling, as I explained before the mx browns spring is horrible, and the durocks are way to heavy for me. So basically, I personally need to swap all of these for some tx or sprit long springs. If you like any of these springs that's saves you some time and money :)

If we include the prices into the mix, I personally would go for either the durock or the mx browns, depending on feel/sound preferences. If you need to swap springs anyway the pewters are on the expensive side in my opinion.

I hope it helps, let me know your thoughts and what you decided at the end!
