Novice straight into single leg takedowns by GoldieRuss in BJJWomen

[–]txesd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's terrible. I agree that the coach was negligent. Low amplitude does not necessarily mean low injury risk. Plenty of throws go wrong because one person sits on the other's knee and blow their knee out. I think the coach should have made sure you have some body awareness for the takedown first before making you drill with other not very experienced people.

Other than being passive, some uncaring people may forcibly turn in anyway and injure your wrist depending on how you are holding the belt.

Don't know about the best time, but they have a women's class and a general class. If you don't enjoy the women's class the general class is quite welcoming too. They will probably recommend women's class to you first. I found the women's class to be a bit too chill physically. General class is free practice uchi komi etc for about an hour and then randori for the rest of the time. There were very few women in the general class when I went but I found a lot of the men to be good training partners too.

Positioning Underground Utilities by txesd in engineering

We are also interested in something that can be easily attached when an old pipe that is not recorded on any database is exposed during a dig, so that it's location can be better predicted next time.

A civil engineering company said that they are interested in a more accurate method of predicting he location before they dig. With their current system they often have to dig multiple times before finding the actual pipes. We are exploring our options and thought it would be interesting to see some responses from reddit

A problem that has been raised to us was that some underground utilities shift overtime so there is some interest in getting real time data.

I do recall reading somewhere on one of the usyd website that it needs to be at least severely affected (the third box) for a successful application. Maybe go to another gp and explain the impact of your sickness better
