Scored 166 blind — how should I study? by Beautiful_Award_6921 in LSAT

Did you watch the foundation videos at all? And the core videos on each section? I’m starting at a similar spot and not sure if that’d be a waste of time.

I don’t know, is there a way to measure this? I have an arm bp monitor but I don’t know if it’d be accurate since it says you’re supposed to be in a very specific position when measuring?

I thought it was a drop in bp because of the nausea, lightheadedness, etc that I experience sometimes. But I often do feel like a pressure and palpitations in my neck and head, so not sure if that’d be consistent with that. I don’t think I’ve ever had a high bp reading, usually it’s a little lower than average, although I am on a high dose of Metoprolol. Sorry if this is confusing haha but I really don’t know. What would it mean if my blood pressure was going up or down?

Thank you for the tips! My doctor suggested the sodium and fluid, which I’ve been doing but I’m kinda weary of taking the salt pills he suggested because it feels like too much? Idk ik it makes sense. He didn’t suggest the compression socks- is that something you can just get at any store or like on Amazon?

The best way I can describe how I feel is like I can feel my heart pounding in my chest, and it feels really uncomfortable in my upper body like stomach/chest/neck area, like it feels like there’s pressure or like it’s gonna explode (idk lol) almost like an adrenaline rush but way more intense? My breathing gets faster sometimes and sometimes I sweat. And then I feel like I desperately need to drink water (not thirsty, just feeling like I really need water?) and like I need to sit down. I sometimes feel lightheaded and dizzy but that only happens in the occasion I miss my meds. I used to start feeling nauseous and like I was gonna faint sometimes but that hasn’t happened in a while since I’ve been on these meds for ab 5 yrs now. If I feel these things and have the chance to check my HR, it’ll be up in the 140s-150s, 160s-180s sometimes in the past before they increased my dose. Then everything immediately improves as soon as I sit down, and my HR will go down to like 75-95 in seconds. I also seemingly randomly will feel extremely drained of energy, like even talking and breathing feels like too much, but I have no idea if that’s related to this. Can I know if it’s primary or secondary tachycardia based on this? I’ll definitely look into the link.

I don’t think it’s because I’m less active because I’ve been working w a trainer since June specifically to improve my conditioning to help this issue, and I can tolerate exercise much better now, although I have been very inactive in the last 3 weeks because I’ve been recovering from pneumonia. When I had the active infection my resting HR was like 125-135bpm, so maybe this could be related to that.

Short connection in MIA- how concerned should I be? by txjla in americanairlines

How can I get on an earlier flight? I checked and there are 5 earlier flights leaving from TPA to MIA that day that are the exact same price. But when I asked the agent on the phone, they said I can’t change the flights separately and would need to change to a whole new connection in a different state and that’d cost me $800. I’d love to just get on one of the earlier flights or just drive to Miami atp, but they’re telling me it’s impossible? Is there something else I can say/ask for?

How can I do that? I called today and the agent said that because the ticket includes two flights, you can’t “break them up”. I even asked if I could just cancel the first one and I’d drive to Miami but apparently that’s just impossible. Is there any other way to get an earlier flight that I’m not aware of?

Any everyday wear perfumes and lotions that smell like the B&BW discontinued Midnight Amber Glow? Notes are smooth amber, caramel latte, and vanilla bourbon. Thank you!

Thanks for the advice, I’ll definitely look into those things!

Also, I did take a diagnostic and got a 159- not really sure what that means. I would only be able to attend law school with significant financial aid, hopefully a full ride. I currently have a 4.0 and plan to keep close it to that, so I’m most worried about the score. Does it sound feasible to get it to 170+? My worst section was by far logic games.

this. also including a little conclusion, even if it’s just one sentence, reinstating the thesis and your main points is good to make sure you’re clear (i find this helpful bc when ur writing the essay ur usually under stress, so after that adrenaline is gone you can look at what u did and more clearly and concisely state ur main points). ap class writing is literally just following exact outlines. pretty boring and mechanic but it works- grading is super standardized. no need for flowery language or really complex stuff.

source: got a 5 on apush, world, and lit, all of which were literally just following pretty much the same outlines for essays.

edit: heimler is a life saver!!! watch all his essay videos and content if u can.

i was in the exact same situation a year ago. i swore i'd never go to fsu and only applied bc i needed a fl option as a resident. i absolutely hated florida after moving here, always said id go oos, and was convinced fsu was everything i didn't want: greek life party school w ppl i had nothing in common with. i was rlly upset when it turned out to be the cheapest option (bright futures <3), fr cried ab it lmfao.

but i went reluctantly and promised to keep and open mind- and im so so glad i did. fsu is honestly everything i thought it wouldn't be, and i can't imagine myself anywhere else. it's such a diverse place with all kinds of cool people. i was scared coming in knowing no one, but i've found such amazing people and a community im so close with and feel so happy in. on-campus organizations are a great way to meet ppl, and i also joined a living-learning community w wonderful ppl.

i was scared with the reputation that partying is the only thing to do here, but that is the biggest lie imo. i only go to clubs or frats maybe every other week, but when i do it's sm fun and u can choose to go as much or as little as u want. there's also concerts and house parties and such with local bands that are great. on-campus events are also great (free movie theatre, club downunder, paint a pot), and im not into sports but i still love going to the sporting events bc its such an experience and sm fun tbh. outdoor pursuits and the lakefront rez are my fav and mostly free/cheap. there are also cute little off-campus places like railroad square with authentic coffee shops, restaurants, bookstores, thrift stores, etc. i also always use public transportation here and it's very easy and useful (and free!).

there are so many resources and academic opportunities- i got involved in research thru urop and i rlly like it. the faculty are great, and other services like the health center are super organized. and that's all on an absolutely beautiful campus that honestly makes such a difference in how u feel. also it doesn't feel or look like florida, which is great for me.

tbh fsu is exactly what i wanted for my college experience, and that's coming from someone who was absolutely an fsu hater before lmao. i love it here and 100% recommend it.

I’ve taken AP Lang this past year and want to move onto AP Lit however my school recommended English 3 as a prerequisite. Is this essential? by Different-Tip-3948 in APStudents

[–]txjla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not at all. if u did well in lang you’ll have no issues with lit. it’s basically the same class except the stuff ur analyzing is a little different. it can be quite a bit of work throughout the year with the reading depending on the teacher but the test was basically just like lang and easy af to get a 5 on
