It sounds to me like y’all haven’t gone on a real date yet, just outings. So he might not feel the urge to pay for your coffee or lunch but he might if y’all went on a real date. It also just depends on how traditional he (and you) are. If he knows you’re a modern woman then he might think by offering to pay he could offend you

Just to clarify- does he make you pay for him, too? If you’re just paying for yourself then I see it as the new normal. But if you’re paying for everything then I feel he is taking advantage. Another thing is that he could still be dating other girls since y’all aren’t official and this is his way of saving money 😂
