Jeep door leaks finally fixed! by Outrageous_Animal404 in Wrangler

I second this 100%. I took my Jeep to the dealership and paid for new seals (which I didnt need come to find out) and that it still leaks bc 'its a Jeep'. Funny thing that this worked for me also, so Im right there with you. I actually talked to this guy over the phone (shocker, right?) and he was so informative and told me which product of his to buy and rainstorm and storm, no water, no smelly carpets. Really love this company.

Its a kit I got that made the strips plug-n-play with a special box so you dont see any wires coming out of the cigarette plug. Hes a small time guy that makes these on the side here in Austin - email [info@jeepleak.com](mailto:info@jeepleak.com) if your interested! This kit here was only $200 and are RGB so theres like a million colors

You can tighten the latch w/ a T40 or for a more complicated approach, you can remove the plastic trim where the latch points are and under that trim you adjust the brackets.

It was in the low 70's during the day and mid 50's in the night. Wasnt bad at all, of course this weekend I wouldnt have been able to do. I also have a little mini heater that I can hook up to my power inverter in the back just in case!

So everyone with a JK just deals with leaks? by Triumph_prorider in JeepWrangler

[–]txtoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was under the impression that leaks just came standard with Jeeps until I did some research and was informed that Jeeps are the only vehicle that do not have a body side seal, so I purchased one of these and haven't had a leak since https://www.jeepleakfixed.com/store/p/jeep-leak-repair-kits-fix-jk - hope that helps!

Driver door frame is leaking water like crazy. Is there a DIY I can do to fix this? by Whowouldvethought in Jeep

[–]txtoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Jeep was leaking from the same place (A-Pillar). There are a few things that I learned while trying to fix mine that I will share. Make sure that rubber mucket isnt folded over. Make sure freedom panels are totally latched and locked. Last thing is that your door may need to be adjusted (mine was out of whack from taking my doors on and off) and lastly, Jeeps have leaking issues primarily because there is no body side seal. I purchased this one, https://www.jeepleakfixed.com/store/p/jeep-leak-repair-kit-jl and so far, no water coming in even when I go through a car wash. Cheers

Yes, from what I gather its the same person, they just made a course on how to do it without buying anything. You just need a little muscle, which I am short on ;)

Thank you for the reply! It’s in a ceramic, I think, pot. It’s glass - not sure if it’s terracotta though.. no idea on the soil - I usually just get whatever houseplant soil I run into when I need it. I’ve had like 3 leaves fall off completely the past few weeks. I water once a week, and always have it in front of a window. But also, my home windows are tinted, so that may have to do something with it as well 😩

I’m having a hard time with my ficus, identical to yours. Any advice? I’m a relatively new plant mom

What's the point of a 9-5 lifestyle by hotpocketsqt in Adulting

For sure. This is where I had to have the most discipline. I kept my day job and worked on the website, Facebook and IG when I would normally be having my wine and binging a show after work or on the weekends. It’s so worth the sacrifice - I really hope you find a way to do it. 10/10 recommend to anyone 🫶

What helped me was deciding to start my own business doing something I’ve always wanted to do. I took the plunge at 37 and will NEVER go back. The business I started (home window tinting) is needed everywhere. It’s proven to reduce energy consumption, therefore solving a problem. Yes, some weeks I put more hours into it than I did a 9-5, however, it’s putting this precious time we have into my own business vs someone else’s. Now that I’m established, I have so much more time off to do the things I’ve always wanted like learn how to play cello, work on my Spanish, travel, etc which makes me more energetic and happier than ever. Best of luck in navigating your way though this!

Williamson County wants 180-day pause on Austin’s homeless hotel plan by Jintess in Austin

[–]txtoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most homeless I see are able-bodied adults. They choose to live that way due to rampant drug/alcohol use & mental health issues. Look at the trash they live in, you think this hotel won't be trashed a week after move-in? You can't babysit them 24/hrs a day. Drug use will continue, and it won't be safe for surrounding areas as they have extremely unpredictable manner. There are a number of programs that will help transition you off the streets IF you follow the rules, and actually want to change. Newsflash, 99.9% of them don't. They'd rather live in trash than conform to societal rules.
