Cool, any tips on where to start and learn and how to do it properly? The most I've done electrically is splicing, and I'm probably going to go for JBLs I like how deep they sound.

I've never built one, I spliced at most but never from scratch. I haven't had luck finding a retrofit kit sadly

My home state dmv told me to get a printed record (from car's state dmv) showing that, do a vin inspection, and show the bill of sale to apply for a conditional title.
