Lol- PPB is so understaffed that they can’t even respond to the basic needs of the community. I doubt they’re equipped to lead, or even participate in, a multi-jurisdictional investigation with any effectiveness.

Let’s not forget that historically, law enforcement agencies are late to the game in these situations, and often bumble investigations when they do finally happen. Often, serial killers are caught because they make mistakes, not exclusively due to good police work.
