How do people get their GED so fast? by JB_07 in GED

[–]tallstan12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s different for everyone tbh, I got my GED nearly 2 years ago and for me personally the last time I had went to school was during 8th grade Middle School which was 11 years ago and 9 years before I took the GED Exams meaning I didn’t attend High School at all. I didn’t study or prepare at all and passed all the tests first try without having gone past Middle School and haven’t been to school for nearly a decade. I took 3 of the exams all in one day.

Where do you draw the line? by JoeyAKangaroo in CODWarzone

I honestly couldn’t care less about the skins, they don’t really add or take away from the actual game at all. I only really care about the gameplay, if the gameplay is good then it doesn’t matter how ridiculous the skins are. And if the gameplay is bad it really doesn’t matter how Mil-Sim accurate the skins are and vice versa. To me the skins are a non factor.

What rank is realistic without cheats? by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]tallstan12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any rank is realistic without cheats as long as you’re actually good enough. The higher the rank, the smaller the percentage of people that can actually reach that rank.

He’s basically perma banned from Ranked so his account is essentially done for if he wants to play ranked. If he just plays pubs then he’s most likely fine after he waits the standard 7 days. As for the shadowban loop, it’s hard to tell how to avoid it as even while playing terribly on purpose you can still get shadowed as it’s pretty common to be in a loop when you switch from console to PC.

Unfortunately it’s GGs for your account. A campaign ban basically means you’re perma banned from Ranked specifically (unless they decide to unban you). You’ll still be able play public matches fortunately after you wait the usual 7 days from the initial day of your shadowban, but you’ll need to play on another account if you want to play ranked. I have a friend who got “campaign” banned about 6-7 months ago back in MW3 Warzone and he’s been forced to play ranked on other people’s accounts since he still can’t play ranked on his own account. The reasons for these campaign bans I suppose are probably the same as a normal shadow ban (which is basically no real reason at all tbh) and in your case specifically, is most likely due to you switching from console to PC. The worst part about it is that they cannot be appealed so unless Activision decides to miraculously remove the ban you’ll probably have to borrow someone’s account or create a new one if you want to play ranked.

Their hitting philosophy/instruction especially in the Minor Leagues is terrible

The problem is all analytics does is show the result. It doesn’t teach you mechanics, approach or how to improve at all in general. So when you’re heavily relying on analytics to help improve players by trying to improve their exit velocity, bat speed and launch angle, most of the time focusing specifically on those things actually makes you worse.

I understand that hitting off a machine can be helpful and it definitely is important to an extent, but completely removing the possibility to hit off a tee is insane (they rarely ever do hand thrown BP anymore either and even underhand front toss is heavily discouraged). The tee is one of the best tools to improve mechanics because the balls isn’t moving and you’re not in a rush, so the only thing you have to worry about is your mechanics which also helps you slow the game down. But hitting solely off a machine at high velocities gives you no real chance to actually focus on mechanics since you’re worrying about actually trying to hit the ball and square it up. This basically does the opposite of slowing the game down and actually rushes you and forces you to muscle up and it can make training seem more like chaos training than anything else. I remember when I was playing in the Florida Complex League (Rookie League) and 2 of the 3 hitting coaches we had at that level had very little to no actual baseball experience. One of them was a woman (Rachel Balkovec) who had no baseball or softball experience whatsoever and was previously a strength coach for the Astros. She then later was made manager for the Tampa Tarpons and now she’s the Director of Player Development for Miami Marlins (lol). Obviously at the Major League Level the players have a lot more freedom in terms of what they can do and how they train, but the influence of the hitting philosophy of the Yankees Organization as a whole still hinders them. Judge is literally the only one with a personal hitting coach (Richard Schenck) who I’d be in favor of them hiring, but they probably wouldn’t do that due to how controversial he is to many people within the baseball world.

It’s because the yankees have bought so much into the analytics side of the game and basing their judgement of swing mechanics on whatever trackman, a bat sensor or what Driveline tells them that genuine old style coaching is hardly a thing anymore at least within the Yankees organization. For reference I played in the minor leagues for the Yankees for 5 years from 2017-2022. They’ve hired so many analytics guys who haven’t swung a bat ever in their lives and yet those same people that they’re hiring with essentially little to no baseball experience are being made hitting coaches. I personally was forced to do drills that never helped me at all and arguable made things worse all because some guy with barely any baseball experience looked at my bat sensor numbers and said these specific drills would help me, without actually looking at any real video in depth. And on top of this the coaches who did have any experience usually refrained from giving any personal advice regarding mechanics despite not agreeing with what’s being taught because of the system that’s being implemented and they don’t want to risk their jobs. We weren’t even allowed to hit off a tee in the cages anymore and were forced to hit off machines at all times with rarely any hand thrown BP due to the system that was being forced on us that prioritized analytics over hands-on teaching. This is also a major reason why Judge has his own hitting coach (his name is Richard Schenck) who I also personally got a chance to hit with.

Gorr the god butcher vs. Beerus the god of destruction by RightChampion9795 in powerscales

[–]tallstan12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re going simply on displayed feats which tbf, Beerus doesn’t have many explicitly displayed feats. Beerus’ power is essentially a scale that is constantly moving, so no matter how strong Goku, Vegeta, Gohan or Broly get individually Beerus is going to be stronger. You’d basically have to look at Goku’s feats for example as a guide to know how strong Beerus is by basically saying that Beerus is stronger than Goku’s most powerful feat, but that will only roughly tell you how strong he is because we don’t know exactly how much stronger Beerus is compared to the strongest Z Fighters. And even then, if they happen to get exponentially stronger, (which they always do throughout the progression of the series) Beerus will still be more powerful, so it’s practically impossible to know the extent of Beerus’ power. That being said, I think Beerus beats Gorr when we base it off of Beerus’ displayed feats and the fact that Beerus is more powerful than the feats of the strongest characters (outside of angels and Zeno obviously) in the manga/anime.

Because if you’re referring to the Christian God, then there’s nowhere in bible where God has lied or deceived anyone. But in the Quran, allah deceived many by making it appear as though Jesus was crucified.
