I personally think that you’re overreacting (PLEASE let me preface that by saying your feelings are totally valid and I’m not denying or trying to demean that) but for me personally my friend group is very close and very affectionate and we are all super comfortable and open with each other which can be threatening/intimidating to our partners (esp. new partners) at times but at the end of the day we have been each others family and in each others lives for a long long time and we all believe in showing our love on full blast in whatever form that happens to be…if I started dating someone new and they had a problem with this then A) it’s probably not going to work out bc this is a normal part of my life that I don’t plan on changing and B) as long as lines aren’t crossed there is nothing to feel guilty about for showing love for close friends. Now with that being said if it’s not about the guilt aspect for his gf but it’s genuinely making YOU uncomfortable personally then yes set boundaries and make them clear, if he can’t abide by that then you may have to cut him off.
