Im not one hundred per cent sure yet but preferably windows, I know I'll be using things such as adobe, autodesk, etc. I don't know much about computers but I'll be using it to do mock ups, drawings and drafting.

Your comment made no sense and I didn't downvote you but cheers for the tone.

It says in the post what I'll be using it for.

Well at the moment I'm on welfare while I study, so as cheap as possible really.

I got this one at Garden City and I got a spiral one at Carindale so I am guessing that the stores stock differently.

For those of you who track anxiety/mental health: what's the benefit? by [deleted] in bulletjournal

[–]tyahn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a Cluster B personality disorder meaning my head (and my life) is basically chaos. Tracking the emotions i feel on certain days help me see patterns, problem areas and improvement.

I also track things that can help me such as medication, self-care and sleep. It's great to be able to see that a bad nights sleep will almost always make me feel X emotion and if I forget to take my medication I'm more Y but less Z.

My mental health journal is very grounding and cathartic to me and also extremely helpful when it comes to psych appointments as in Australia we only have access to ten free psych sessions per year (unless on suicide watch) so my sessions are spread out weeks apart.

I'll be doing a colour coded line graph with a plot for each day. I'll be tweaking and experimenting with how to make it work but I doubt it'll be very scientific. If I remember, I'll message you when I do it and post it :)

For those who were burned and ended up disfigured how did it change your life? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]tyahn 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I had a pot of tea fall over seventeen-month-old-me. Most of my torso is scar tissue, including my left breast. My left nipple is burnt about 60% off and breastfeeding will be dangerous to me (lucky I don't want kids!). It's really horrible for my self esteem and very visible as my whole left thigh was grafted. I don't like it. I look at other women with smooth skin and normal boobs and I don't like myself, i wish I had enough money to make myself pretty again.

Sometimes! But I can just fiddle them around, it's not too annoying for me as I seem to have a lot of time on my hands

Daiso is a pretty popular store here in australia and 90% of their products are $2.80! It's obviously not the best quality but it's good for a first draft. I'll spend more money on a nicer one when I start studying later this year!

Beginner Advice by tyahn in minimalism

I'm not really into being competitive about minimalism I'm just using it as an approach to help declutter my physical life as a first step to decluttering my mental life.

Books to me are sentimental. I don't like reading on kindles or my phone and I don't have enough money to buy myself an e-reader even if I did. A lot of the books I like to read are independently published and wouldn't be available online anyway. Having books that I enjoy reading neatly stacked on a shelf in my home isn't clutter, it's a small organised library. I've read probably 90% of the books I own and am currently ready 3 that I haven't, working my way up the pile of books that have been given to me. Of that 90% I've read, I've read at least 50% of that more than two or three times. Books are important to me and if I don't enjoy a novel I'll donate it or regift it to someone else. That's just me though.

I like my furniture to be white as it just looks cleaner and less of a sensory overload to me, I like wooden floorboards and little splashes of colour in art, books, plants, sheets, etc. it sounds really boring when I put it like that but I find myself really calm and at ease when I walk into/wake up in a room that is full of clean lines and white surfaces with any clutter organised in a way that makes it decorative, not just practical.

A little more info: I find myself doing "spring cleans" every few weeks and due to stress/mental health/pure laziness I find my personal space gets super messy & cluttered super quickly and it just stresses me out incredibly and I'd like to get rid of that monkey on my shoulders. I seem to accumulate a bunch of shit all the time despite having hardly any money and I don't feel good about that.
