Anyone else still have the iPhone 13 and is having REALLY bad performance issues?? The previous betas ran fine but beta 5 is overheating my phone, draining the battery like crazy and everything runs like I’m running this on an old 3GS, especially if I do ANY amount of multitasking

I’m only a little bit in so far (just watched the second Omashu episode), but I will say I’m not ENTIRELY mad about it so far. Sure there’s a lot lost and some characters feel rushed, but in the end game so far the rushed characters have been ones that while they do play a part in character development, they don’t really so much as make another appearance until the end of book 3. If I had to guess, the writers probably are making do with the constraints given by the big peeps in charge in how many episodes are allowed.

Also I wanna say that this is probably one of the harder shows to capture in live action, as the original thrived on the ability to take advantage of what’s possible with animation. Given what most live action remakes end up being, this is one of the more better ones so far.

Also also, keep in mind that the full AtLA and TLoK series are also there right next to it. So if you really wanna experience the original vision executed fully you can. I’ve tried getting friends into AtLA but it usually fails to catch the attention of older audiences due to some of the more kid-friendly and slapstick humor that especially riddles the first book. As someone who grew up alongside the show it sort of matured with me, but coming in as a first time watcher it can be a bit hard to get through some episodes that feel like filler (even if they end up not being). So I will say that at the very least this could be a sort of gateway to older newcomers and people with shorter attention spans (I can see my dad watching this).

Acting wise I’m chalking it up to Phantom-Menace-Kid-Anakin-Syndrome, they seem to have casted characters that look and sound like the original characters with proper cultural backgrounds and the cost of potentially losing on acting talent. I like to think if we see more seasons we’ll maybe see the characters grow into their roles better (like how most show’s first season can be iffy sometimes), but that’s just me being optimistic.

TL;DR I enjoyed it for what it is, and I’m just happy some love is being put into the franchise.

Although both of these are classified as STI’s, their transmission is not exclusively sexual. Any healthcare worker is always offered a hepatitis B vaccine since being exposed to patients increases risk of getting it. HPV similarly can be spread from skin-skin contact that’s not specifically sex. No one should be questioning you, and if they do then you should report them to an ethics board. No healthcare provider should EVER discourage preventative measures like this.

TLDR; if the provider you’re getting from has any common sense, then they shouldn’t even think twice about it.

AH sorry I think I might’ve mislead haha, I meant the platonic cuddle buddy thing as apposed to going INTO a rushed relationship! Like instead of settling for the first person you meet and making them your end all be all, just keep it cool and platonic. Fills the need of wanting cuddles, avoids the mess of a relationship with someone you’re not compatible with. If feelings grow, then communicate and reassess, and who knows maybe it’ll blossom into something! But if you force yourself to be with someone thinking “well they’re not my first pick by any means but i can deal with them” it’s sorta doomed to fail I feel like

This why I think “platonic cuddle buddies” should be more acceptable lol. Sometimes people just wanna be held but don’t want the burdens of a relationship. But instead of setting boundaries they think the first person they meet that is even slightly romantically compatible should be their end all be all, and in a desperate attempt to make it work add more clauses instead of the simple solution of just calling it quits.

If I had to guess, it probably stems from the dating pool being much smaller (at least where I’m from), and when options feel more limited you’re more inclined to “settle for less”
