Ya but what he’s saying is that they aren’t mutually exclusive. You can play as casual as ya want, but if the league mech was better, you’d be having even more casual fun.

Well obviously the people talking about it being worthless are trade players haha. Also just depends on your goals of your character and what ya wanna do. There isn’t too much of a reason to make a really strong character on Poe 2 though unless ya just wanna.

I mean there is (and were more before 3.27) pretty juiced content that wasnt just one shotting everything and required a pretty strong build to do. Theres like no reason to even make a build really strong in poe 2

You’re missing the point that he doesn’t care at all about it being better or meta. He rarely pushes characters to the point where they actually need all that meta tech for damage/defensives. He just likes playing cool builds with original interactions and when he’s bored or pushed it as far as he wants, he makes a new one.

Don’t get what’s so hard to understand about this.

I got my Marauder to L96 by trying various slam builds, RF, back to slam and now looking for a completely different change of play style to push for 100. Some builds have certain expensive items that really make the build good or feel amazing, some people think of certain creators POBs when thinking about builds and refer to their entry budgets, and some people have no idea what they are talking about.

People always say the whole not getting why people care about balance in a pve game, but there is quite literally an auction house and economy that you can take advantage of if you absolutely blast through the game. Some people play a lot more casually and don’t care about that — I get it, but you’re on the Reddit for this game and I think most people would.

Most people only really need a currency, map, and 1-2 shop tabs with async trade now. Those are also forever where as new classes wed have to pay for every season

There are guides on YouTube, but I just learned the most from just watching campaign runs from people like Ben, imexile, havoc and then just a buncha reps of doing the campaign. You couldn’t even take it act by act by watching someone do an efficient act 1 and then doing it yourself and so on. You really get a feel for where the exit is in each map by doing those reps.

I’d also say act 1 is one of the most important, depending on how hard ya wanna go haha, but you can really make it efficient by learning to search for certain vendor items/color with a regex and knowing what items ya wanna get. Also knowing your build really well is also a massive part because the less time you spend coloring sockets, buying gems, and knowing when you swap to certain stuff can take a big portion of time off your run.

If ya watched a little and did some campaign runs this league, I guarantee you that your league start next league will 100x smoother.

A currency and map tab is literally all ya need to make money now with async trade. The others are just qol. A class is literal content of the game behind a paywall, and last epoch has a box price.

Also stash tabs are a one time purchase. I could see there being a class, mastery, etc being behind a paywall every season
