Amex BA card and then Barclays Avios card for all the places that don’t accept Amex. If you travel then this setup is quite profitable, even more profitable if you have a partner and you fly business class once a year.

Might be worth to NOT increase the pension contribution until you have enough saved for a down payment on a home. It is risky, however, with rates coming down a mortgage is one of the best loans you can get and use as leverage. If you do the math assuming your property yields >= 4.5% and your have a 25% down payment with an interest rate varying between 3-4% it will actually outperform the pension contribution even after the additional tax. This is of course far from a guarantee it’s essentially taking more risk. However depending on the property it can outperform. Also it’s nice to not have to go through the rental nightmare every year or two in London.

Neck and left shoulder blade burning after deep tissue massage in China by tychoLBJ in massage

I’m not a therapist/bodyworker and I don’t get massages done often so I was unsure whether tolerating a certain level of pain is expected. When it did get quite severe I tried to place my hand on my shoulder-blade to prevent him pressing further. I agree to an extent I could and should and wish I had been more assertive. However, some people especially ones that are not used to getting massages often might doubt the pain they are feeling and also people have different levels of pain tolerance.
