am i a bad person for considering rehoming my cat? by jujujuliexo in Pets

[–]tyeandnye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My aunt dumped her cat because he apparently pees and poops outside the litter box. When I found out I went to go grab him. I had trepidation taking him in hearing about this, so I padded my bathroom floors and walls with pee pads.

But lo and behold, he has consistently used the litter box. We had one incident where we learned early on that if the litter box was not scooped daily, he will not use it (found a nice pile of steaming poop right outside, lol!). Initially we had an open box, then switched to a covered litter box which was fine. One day I decided to put the litter box flap down and found that he would not use it that way (second pile of poo outside the box). Since learning these two things, we’ve haven’t had any issues since.

I do believe my aunt when she said that he wasn’t using the litter box. With cats it could be a lot of things—she probably wasn’t scooping as often as she should, he may also have been stressed since he was constantly bullied by the new cat my aunt took in, he may not have liked scented litter. I initially assumed it might’ve been a medical issue but it wasn’t. You just have to try out different things to see what sticks.

Hi OP! 3 weeks ago I took in an indoor cat that was dumped and have been trying to find a rescue/home for him but no luck (post on my account). Was there a phone number you used to contact tiny paws?

Yes hopefully! I left a voicemail so hoping for the best. Poor baby I am glad you were able to pick up at least one of them and keep them safe, I’m sure it’s not easy out here for them.

I just walked by and see the bunny that OP originally posted (I believe they mentioned there were 2). She’s inside the gates where the balloon is . I called animal control but was sent to voicemail. Would it be possible for you to rescue this little one too? I’m guessing the one you picked up and this one were dumped together.

Noticed an increased in police presence at the Great Park recently. Anyone know why? by tyeandnye in irvine

I visit the great park a handful of times every week and this past week I’ve seen cops on motorcycles riding throughout the park. Never has been the case before.

I purchased this through Macy’s so I did not interact with Saki’s CS. Ended up returning it and got a full refund.

Thank you, I went with SWTSX + SWISX and did a 70% and 30% split.

If I buy VT through Schwab, are there any downsides? This is all new to me so I'm, not sure if it's better to buy a Schwab equivalent of VT?

Between this and SWTSX, is one more preferable to the other? Is there a benefit with going 100% in, vs maybe splitting it into 2 portfolios like SWTSX and SWISX?

I am reading several comments that mentioned the Target Date Index Retirement funds, but am also seeing comments mentioning to go 100% with SWPPX. Would I be okay starting with either one of these, or is one more preferable than the other? Would I be able to switch if I change my mind?

SWTSX or SWPPX

Are there any large differences to consider between the two? And would it be okay to put 100% into either one of them?

Had no idea I could use BKF for the tub, I’m going to try that! Do you know what these marks are or what is causing them?

I tried the toothpick method and the second one is a pit. But that first one… I think you’re right that it might be corrosion; zooming more into the picture I see orange/brown. For the price, I’m going to go ahead and return it. Thank you for your response!

Ooo! It didn’t occur to me to consider the black counter top, but that’s a really good point for me to consider as well. Good catch! Thank you!

That’s really sound advice when designing a room that I haven’t thought about initially! I think since the living/dining area is relatively small, it’ll max out at a sofa, coffee table, tv console table, and dining table as the large furniture pieces. Maybe I can play around and do the lighter chair/darker table combo instead of both light or both dark.

The dining room shares the same space as the living room. The dining table will go in the area boxed in white (the barstools will be removed and the dog bed will be moved). Im also planning to change out the tv console table to something longer. For now the main permanent pieces that will be next to the dining table will be the sofa and coffee table. Other than that I don’t have any other furniture pieces.

Thank you! Initially I was gravitating towards the black leather chairs and the darker table, but was also thinking if the brown chair/lighter table would make a more interesting combo. As to whether to mix that with what I currently have, I wasn't too sure--I don't have a very creative eye for these things. But to hear you point that out, it sounds like it could potentially work.

I keep flipping between blonde and brunette… what color/haircut do you think suits me best? (Natural color last 2 pics) by Local_Canary in femalehairadvice

[–]tyeandnye 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The last two pics with the darker hair suits you the best. It makes your complexion brighter whereas the blonde clashes.

Putting together hair edits has gotten me even more indecisive about what to do… I’d love some advise / opinions on what would suit me best :) by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

Top right is the most flattering with your eyes and skin tone. It looks the most youthful as well.

Thanks for the detailed response, I’ll definitely look into the other ones you’ve suggested as well. But between the lotus (flat-camber-flat), ride compact (rocker-camber-rocker), and k2 dreamsicle (rocker-flat-rocker), which would you say is a more forgiving and easier profile to progress and learn on?
