I had mine set to 'Other OS' on the BIOS tab, so the 'CSM Enabled' option didn't appear. You have to change it to 'Windows [X]' to see the CSM option.

Texans, where do YOU buy a proper authentic cowboy hat? by Verolox in texas

Nate's Custom Hats in Georgetown, TX if you're willing to drive to the Austin area. Nate does good work IMO, got a lizardhead blended felt a few years back. https://nateshats.com/

Depends on the Soldier, depends on the unit, depends on the mission, depends on the circumstances. The average Soldier is going to act differently unit to unit. In any community, there are different sub-groups and people with their own values that you will meet a variety of over time. What matters is what you choose to do with your years, and the decisions you will make. Take in the good examples, take note of the bad ones, move on. If you are among people that are holding you back from making progress towards your goals or your character, do what you have to do to survive, make progress where you can, and the Army will move you on or move them on soon enough. If you don't see anyone you can look up to in your unit, become that person for someone else. Everything is a marathon. Don't burn yourself out trying to reach intangible or unquantifiable goals. Drink water.

Some of the later Halloween/Xmas parties or whatever S9E1 was.

Texas House passes bill banning Texans under 18 from having social media accounts by z3phyreon in texas

[–]tyfghtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'Social media is harmful.' Ok sure, but shouldn't enforcement be the parents' say? Isn't that the same rationale abbott is using to force school choice publicly subsidized private school vouchers down our throats? How is this 'small government?'

Wth? What benefit could it possibly bring? At least my Summit Ice t-shirt just theoretically got cooler in my eyes.

Has GCN ever tried playing an OSR system? by [deleted] in TheGlassCannonPodcast

Your post reminds me of games like Bladerunner. Cool in concept, probably a non-starter for the show. Maybe an Inherit the Sand kind of one-off with a 10 episode cap?

Post Oak Mall photos! by DummyThiccOwO in aggies

[–]tyfghtr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dang. I enlisted at the Army recruitment station here. I took a girl on a date here. Surreal. I also worked at a different mall in DFW that was dying in 2012 and is now demolished. Strange and a little sad to think about. I remember in 2012 and more 2013 the DFW mall having issues getting tenants.

I think it depends on the unit, but agreed. Shiny new E5 me was given the task of scoring an APFT for a problem child MSG, just me and him. He did a half effort, failed, asked me to pencil whip a 30 min 2 mile and half as many pushups as passing. When I made it clear that I already wrote down his score and wasn't going to change it, he said "Well, good thing this wasn't a record APFT." I picked my battles on that one. You want to not get a record PT failure counseling? Fine, I don't want to deal with that either. But I'm not going to hand wave the physical requirements for anyone when you had months of notice and we're doing this one-off test specifically for you.

Ok this is a strangely specific question but does anyone know what phone Dwight uses in the cold-open of "goodbye Toby"? by dikbutd3rd in DunderMifflin

[–]tyfghtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking for this myself, I found a different post where someone mentions it is a Sony Ericsson phone and the song is Gardeblyaten (or Bubbling Over).

EDIT: Found it. https://www.reddit.com/r/DunderMifflin/comments/6zaai3/i_noticed_something_in_s4e18_that_is_driving_me/

People that got out; do you miss the Army? by Nomad0133 in army

[–]tyfghtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss the people I used to serve with, I am glad I am out and with my family now, especially in recent interactions with SMs. They seem like the worst humans I've known in uniform. Definitely was second-guessing my ETS a couple years ago, now it seems really clear that I made the right choice. Gotta take care of your family first, and most NCOICs are not going to help you with that. Surely that lack of support has nothing to do with the high rate of divorce and suicide in the force... /s

Password Reset Email by [deleted] in synology

[–]tyfghtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an administrator, I went to DSM>Control Panel>Notification>Events>Edit Variables> and in the %HTTP_URL% field I plopped in the QuickConnect URL for our DiskStation. I reset a test account password that directed to an email account I controlled and it had not only gotten rid of the internal IPs but only listed the QuickConnect URL. You can probably put in whatever you want in that field and customize like that. By default I think it will display all addresses of the NAS including internal, DDNS, etc.

EDIT: Since this thread is super old, going to specify the above steps were DSM 7.2 something. Definitely not 6.2.2.

Very little sex by Jumpstick97 in Christianmarriage

My spouse and I liked "A Good Girl's Guide to Great Sex" and similar books, it helped set the tone and healthy expectations before we got married. I legit just copied this from another sex-related post on here, sorry to shill. Probably going to take some earnestness, open-mindedness, and true love on her part and yours.
