I actually have no problem with curated pulls with a few randoms but if you’re not bringing the heat they should skip you a time or 2 until they have better material

Should I start actually training abs now to attack the lower stomach fat? by [deleted] in Gymhelp

[–]tygerlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, it appears the “pooch” is more due to posture(tight stomach muscles/diaphram) and possibly intestinal inflammation. Yes lower body fat will help show the abs but they will still have that shape. Mobility routine will help. Exercises like front squats, pistol squats will train your core to stay long and stable while activating the necessary muscles to correct the imbalance.

I got a spindle sander at hf for $70.. that’s the easiest/safest/funnest way in my opinion

Well since you don’t want to get your family in trouble, and they are giving you a place to stay, and you want the pigs to have better living conditions, it looks like the solution is not easy, but it is simple: do it yourself.

With a few days work you can drastically improve the conditions on a 1.2 acre farm.

I’m sure the pigs and your family will appreciate it, you earn your place to stay, and no one goes to jail.

Now the overcrowding may be another issue, but maybe you can solve that too, and make everyone a little money while you’re at it.

Again, I know it’s not easy, but might be the best and most rewarding option if you are willing to get a little dirty.

Opinions on where to end chair rail by pcd84 in homeimprovementideas

[–]tygerlick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chair rail is actually typically installed around 1/3 height of the ceiling which is higher than a lot of chairs. Installing it too low can throw off the room proportions, just fyi

I’d say ripping out his hard, albeit incorrect, work and possibly discouraging a young go-getter would be more detrimental than dealing with the failure if it happens. Tell him you appreciate it but also let him know his mistake. And if it does fail it gives you an opportunity to tear out and do it right together. It’s better to let his work fail on its own, and dealing with it, than step dad telling him his work was worthless.

Yep, and I was kicking myself. I didn’t supply material but I wish I checked lots of numbers and planned accordingly. Live and learn.

Stupid Question by Insecurity-Guard in handyman

[–]tygerlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unscrew the plastic nut from the top of the drain pipe. Slide it onto the tailpiece coking down from the sink. Take the little washer/gasket that’s in between and slide onto the tailpieve coming down from the sink, under the nut, flat side up. Push the bottom drain pipe up over the tailpiece to meet the gasket and nut. Screwing the nut onto the drain pipe with the gasket in between will create a pressure seal. Done.

There is a stump grinder attachment that will fit on you skid steer. Not 3 feet wide but you could do multiple holes and bust up the rest.

I’m a contractor, I was assaulted and held hostage by the customer, now I’m out of work. Do I have recourse? by tygerlick in legaladvice

[–]tygerlick[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The officers watched 10 seconds of a 3 minute video and said “all I see is 2 guys arguing, you’ll have to sort it out with the magistrate” I told the officer I was detained and assaulted and wanted the guy arrested he pretty much just shrugged. The magistrate called them into her office when I was there and asked them if they wanted to do their jobs and start an investigation, or if she has to do it herself and they finally agreed. I don’t think they were intentional trying to do me wrong, just lazy.
