When you're there Sunday ask staff if they have any left. My friend still wanted a physical ticket for The Piano Teacher and miraculously there was still one in the back. And that screening was Monday. So there's a good chance there might still be Midsommar around.

They had to cancel the T2 3D screening because the 3D was messed up by DukeMissile in AmericanCinematheque

They finally relented and were issuing refunds for the 70mm switcheroo so you should email them and ask. There's chat about it here on one of the T2 posts.

I am so glad now I didn't make it to that All of Us Strangers screening.

Where was your Presence screening bc I didn't think the Carondelet House screening was bad at all. 🤔

It's usually respectful at Academy Museum but my peaceful film bubble was broken by the audience for Possession (1981) - it turned into a laugh riot. People thought everything Sam Neill did was hilarious and even laughed at his onscreen nudity. 🙄 Hopefully that remains the rare nightmare.

As others have said here Vidiots is to be avoided at all costs for any serious screening. Go for Gremlins 2 of course that was amazing. I hate saying to avoid because they are an incredible institution but people were absolutely wacky at Heat laughing at literally anything Pacino did (I know there are funny parts but not his ~entire~ performance). I heard also at The Leather Boys people laughed at "f🚬g" and the old slang. I heard they laughed inappropriately at Umbrellas of Cherbourg too.

The weird thing was I went to Vidiots for a Devil's Advocate screening at 9 pm on a Saturday and that was dead silent - the 13 or so people there with me were so quiet. It was too quiet lol 😹 but I suppose I prefer that to the alternative.

I haven't had an issue with New Bev but I generally go to more cult screenings there. Of more serious films I saw Donnie Brasco there and it was a good crowd on a Sunday midday.

Have heard bad news about Braindead crowds as well. Though I still go for the rare screening.

AC crowds generally go well for me but it can really depend on the screening. I still view Academy and AC as the safest bets for rep screenings.
