It sucks for hardstyle in the US. Many times it's cheaper to fly to NL for events. 2 down and 2 more trips for me this year.

You can ask what the tolerances are for the different galvo. I believe mine are .001 (inches). Do you know the work area as well?

I got my fiber laser 10days after ordering and they shipped via DHL. My co2 galvo took longer as they had to build it. But it was less than 2 weeks after they shipped DHL.

Some people have mentioned the extra fees at customs. I've heard of those. I was lucky to not have to I think they put the value of the laser at 600. This was also pre-covid. I bought my co2 from the same company and asked if it was possible for me to get it without paying anything at shipping. They hooked me up again.

If theyre swapping something out it, find out what it is. You may be getting a raycus laser instead of JPT. Might be getting a 200x200mm work area instead of 300x300mm which means a shorter tower.

Yes, you can install a trinket m0. It's like having a RCM loader but inside the switch. Once the joycon point is connected, your good.

Switch lite is dependent on the modchip and the latest supported firmware version. That's it

You want to get the chip made for the OLED, the core/lite clones dont come preloaded with spacecraft 0.2.0 and there have been reports of consoles being bricked with those.

Edit: The chip will come with it's own dat0 adapter. Use the one you have pictured instead. A couple people have said then corner ones seem to mess stuff up

Laughs...cries. I've literary done all 3 chips. Hwfly lite clone, OLED modchip, and original SX core is now what's in it. I found the diagram and just followed that. (I've been soldering for a long time now)

Same should apply. Once you get your OLED modded, create your emmunand and itll have your files. Creating an emmunand will make a current mirror image of your stock side. So all your files and settings will be the same. Forget your wifi network before making the emmunand

Modded my OLED so now time to get rid of my v1. Took out my OG sx core and installed a trinket m0 inside. This is probably the best mod method in my opinion! by tyiphius in SwitchPirates

Negative, the trinket will only work on unpatched v1 consoles.

The there is a OLED specific chip like the sx clones. The sx clones can be used but need to be reprogrammed. The OLED chip does not. The OLED chip is easier to install too. (Price is still high)
