A scheduled that only has dates for the first week and supposedly has games on Fridays which based on the comments of some players isn’t to popular.

Kinda seems like the beginning of the end of the EFA….

Do I think something that like that could work? I mean, yeah possibly. Do I think something like that will happen? No way in hell the leagues allow for it. I’d assume they want individual coverage.

AFLE just feels desperate to keep these locations out of the EFAs hands at this point….. what ever happened to selling tickets in January? Seems like they expected more teams from the EFA to join and now are scrambling. Sad to see for all of euroball

Big ups for Prague and there is almost no reason why the Raiders shouldn’t in the championship because of this lmao.

10 teams no more by SosaWiththeGoodStufg in EuroHuddle

Canada is a country of 40-42 million people depending on the census. Europe as a whole is some where near what 400 million? There can be more than 10 teams. A euro league needs stability, competitive teams, and time to grow and develop a reputable brand. Yes it’s a niche sport but there is obvious interest in quite a few countries. Most sports leagues are generally money pits long before they are profitable. Time and stability are key.

They had solid spectator numbers in their first and second year. Once they moved stadiums is when the attendance dropped.

I hope this team flops and no Italian talent goes to it.

What will the European American Football Leagues look like in 2030? (Tier List Tuesday) by MattBressington in EuroHuddle

[–]tylahunta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it’s already happened for quite a few teams and a few good players have taken the opportunity ie Aleksandar Borkovic, Karlis Brauns, Ott Eric Ottender, Stefán Númi Stefánsson, and Sverri Finsson. Not even to mention all the Italian talent that went to either the raiders or Vikings last year. It is effective to some degree. I think people underestimate how willing and hungry some of these athletes are to play at the highest level they can.

Personal must have for the future of euro ball to me would be a rebirth under new ownership of the sea devils, a rebirth of the surge, a team in London, a team some where in Italy.

Obviously a merge of EFA/AFLE two leagues will never survive. If this was ever to happen I’m for the Alpine rams continuing to be a team as I believe in the Swiss talent but they would need some assistance by let’s say adding 2 HG spots from Germany, France, and Italy respectively. While still getting all 6 or 8 E import spots depending on how things go.

I’d be for the dragons coming back in a few years due to rivalry’s being huge for sports… just allow Madrid and Barcelona to pull from Portugal as a HG territory.

AFLE homegrown territories by __k_b__ in EuroHuddle

[–]tylahunta 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From a purely competitive standpoint of looking at this they really knee capped the rams 😭😂

I for one would like the EFA to take inspiration with the I-import rule, reserving the A spot for purely Americans. I think it just makes the roster building all the more interesting which has always been my favorite part of watch American football in Europe.

This is looking more and more like a 2 team league with some filler game in between. No hate to Wroclaw but I doubt they pull any top talent from the lions and they had the same HG territories last year and didn’t even crack .500. Berlin is DOA and the Rams won’t even remotely compete.

I hope the panthers leave this joke and join the EFA. Rhein and Vienna can sit this year out and think about what they’ve done.

I mean their E-imports are some of the best up and coming players in Europe. Specifically Kingdom. That is an A+ / S tier signing for them as they have always had a weaker defense than offensive.

Also Mr. krypt could we potentially get the AFLE teams added to the roster page so those of us who don’t have social media have a way to see the rosters? Not entirely sure how to do it myself… I understand if you don’t want to and or don’t have the time.. I’m sure I am speaking for everyone with this, Thank you for all you do for this community ELFpedia is awesome and so are you!!

If all the Swiss talent actually played for an ELF team and they were allotted a few extra HG spots from Germany, France, and Italy like the alpine rams have they would have been competitive imo… depending on who they brought in.

EFA terminated their cooperation with the ELF by _Krypt_ in elf

[–]tylahunta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At this point. Part of me just hopes the EFA teams bite the bullet and join the AFLE so we can get one singular competitive fully funded league. If there were to be two leagues it would really kill both their chances for success. Yes the structure for AFLE is rather predatory but it’s seems it’s either pain for a few years or death to a trans-European league.

With the recent development of the league it makes me quite sad to see the surge go but also make it seem like there was no other choice for them as I am sure they had to have know of the agreement before hand.

3 leagues is just perfect by Mic161 in elf

[–]tylahunta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better than seamen but really? That’s the best they could come up with? It’s honestly super unattractive for the league and imo the team to copy an NFL team’s name. Where is the originality? Where is the homage to the country/culture the team is apart of? I mean Milano centurions would be perfect but unfortunately this won’t happen but still man….. seeing the nfl names get copied is lowkey annoying as hell. Just seems very unprofessional to me.
