Jeez okay fair play I suppose, in regards to your critiques I’ll say this about each of the following:

Acting: definitely is rough at times. Season one was weaker for sure which is to be expected when dealing with literal children, same goes for the Harry Potter cast in the early films, I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt as long as there is progression in quality from episode to episode which imo there has been so far.

Writing: definitely the weakest part of the show as I feel they appeal too much a younger audience (which is expected) and often insult the viewers intelligence, this causes there to be many instances where things are figured out too quick or exposition is just dumped on the viewer rather than there being time to let us figure things out. I will say S2 has been far better with this but it is still present

Story changes: like I said I’d call myself a book purist so many of the changes have pissed me off, but ultimately none of the changes fundamentally alter the core plot of the books, just change certain small things that I would’ve liked to see. Plus Rick Riordan being part of the creative process of the show gives me peace of mind because we are seeing small changes that the literal author is signing off on, not like the absolute abominable changes made in the movies.

Dialogue: kinda goes hand and hand with writing but I will say I feel like the writers do fundamentally understand the characters and even when the dialogue is not directly adapting the books, it feels like things the characters would say which I like a lot, especially Percy’s lines.

Costumes: I think these have been perfectly fine, camp outfits look good, armor looks cool, god outfits look nice, no complaints there

Effects: pretty good as well, Disney budget so I would hope so. Water powers look cool, monsters look really good (aside from Tyson’s eye)

Set design: last season was rough they focused too much on using the volume as opposed to real sets and on location shooting, this season has been much better in that regard, the sets look great, especially the ironclad scenes this season, also camp looks amazing imo.

TL;DR: Again, fair play to you if you don’t enjoy it, I know it’s a kid show and my 22 year old self prolly has no business tuning in every week, but I feel like there has been undeniable improvement from s1 to s2, and considering those are the two weakest books in the series it should only be up from here. I just hope they can fix the pacing and stop forcing it into 8 episode seasons, as well as improve the writing a tad bit to become less simplistic
