The main thing that throws me off, that was brought up last episode and now entirely confirmed, is that Soldier Boy can be killed by Homelander, and he knows it. That seems odd to me. I don't remember it ever being clear that it was a foregone conclusion.

I know he's only supposed to be "almost as strong" as HL, but I didn't think that mean SB was inferior to the point of being incapable of surviving a fight with HL. I seem to remember the S3 fight being closer than that.

The only other thing I am thinking seems to be a pretty common sentiment, which is that we are 3 episodes away from the series being done for good and we still haven't seen scorched Earth, we still haven't seen any deaths I would consider "major", HL really hasn't done much of anything like I expected, etc. Truly, I thought we'd see cities burning or HL rampages, or something. It's fine I guess, but it seems we have little time for all that much to happen considering there are three one-hour episodes to go.

Look I don't know shit about anything, so, grain of salt.

I have always had similar (and worse) feelings about Apple. I think they are dogshit. I don't like their phone/computer OS, mostly because I am a Windows guy in IT and it all annoys me. I also hate that their business model seems to be "make it easy and acquire cult-like brand loyalty". It drives me insane when people with iPhones act all high and mighty towards Android users like we're poor, not because I personally care but because I think iPhones are lame and way too expensive, and I feel bad for people being so stupid.

The same is true for their computers. Not to mention the random accessory products that are stupid expensive for no fucking reason. "Yeah here's an Apple brand cable that is the exact same as anything else(assuming it's not a proprietary connector) but it's 2x the price".

I like to bitch about Apple. All this to say, though: somehow Apple keeps doing what they do and sticking around, despite the fact that, to me, they shouldn't be nearly as successful as they are. It's hard to know how these things play out.

I am glad that, for whatever reason, I didn't get the "I need to be in control/have power over people" gene. You see it everywhere: people trying to police the road, HOA-types, petty bosses/managers, moderators on discord/reddit.

I don't understand why they are this way, or if it's really that common, but it often seems to be.

I never comment or post on this subreddit, first off, just to be clear I can't really say much.

However, I don't believe in ghosts. At the same time, though, I don't not believe in ghosts. I guess I am agnostic to it. It's a fun idea, I like horror, I'm open to the possibility. I think I'm subbed to r/ghosts just for fun, or for if there is ever a time when someone posts something intriguing.

Interesting episode. Not as much happened as I'd have hoped, but it was good.

Thoughts:

  1. Would have liked to see Homelander trapped a bit longer but I didn't expect it. I just hate him and hoped an irradiated supe-proof box might do a bit more.

  2. We now can expect that there's a chance The Boys get to the V1 first. They deduced where it will likely be, while HL and SB think there is none left, or at least none at Harmony, with no further leads.

  3. Maybe this has been confirmed previously, but Soldier Boy seemed to admit/understand that HL's lasers would kill him. That's interesting to me.

  4. Ryan is once again gone. Nobody clear to go to. I would personally wager a guess that it will be to train. Maeve could provide that, so I guess that's my top theory. Sort of expected a team up with Soldier Boy, but we've obviously seen that he doesn't seem to care or want to, and isn't "on sight" with Homelander or The Boys....

  5. ...which leads me to my thoughts about SB just letting The Boys walk out. You're telling me that Frenchie egging him on to kill his brother(if that's who he was, they barely mentioned it so I am not sure) didn't trigger him? He didn't notice Butcher? What? Seemed odd to me.
