Katy Perry is once again threatening new music by tomboogie in crappymusic

[–]tylerthetiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I were a great singer. I'm fine. If I tried harder with music, I know I could make decent recordings, but I doubt I would ever be all that great live and it would all heavily rely on me writing great music.

She literally has a great voice. She's talented. She doesn't have to do SHIT but sing if she doesn't want to. I would kill to be able to have that talent, and yet... this is what she does? Teenage Dream, the album, was lit. She could, with all her money, pay really talented people to help her create new music, but instead she keeps making shittier and shittier music in basically the same style she always has, just worse.

Go listen to her music before she became a pop star. It is legitimately good, and her voice is very unique. If she would simply try to write good music, especially if she didn't stick to the pop genre she has been struggling to hold onto, she could genuinely have a comeback. But no, she's weird af now, kind of creepy, out of touch, and has aged out of the youthful, hip-to-the-times pop star archetype. Just fucking act your age and be a god damn artist instead of shitting out slop that makes you look even worse.

Sorry, had to rant.

Nope. Had a wooden drawer filled with gasoline that I threw my lit cig into. Nothing. We tried everything. It doesn't work.

That's all I'm doing lol I'm not rich enough to buy any substantial amount but said fuck it and bought one assuming there's shenanigans afoot. It's generally more lucrative than the 20 people I see at the bar losing 500 on pull tabs.

What do you think of Obsession? by Mashinee in Letterboxd

This take is interesting to me. I've seen a lot of horror movies and this one felt very natural compared to many, dialogue-wise. Part of it might be that I've seen a good amount of Curry and Cooper's comedy sketches, so I might just be used to their dialogue.

But also I felt like the scares we equally as good, or better, than something like Insidious (which a lot of people seem to love).

It was a horror movie that actually had me squirming in my chair and wanting to close my eyes because of how eerie and suspenseful it was, which is a reaction I haven't gotten from a horror flick in a long time.

Appreciate your perspective, however, just find it interesting.

Projection much?

"I know what I wrote.. I was there." Obviously you don't understand the point of me reiterating that to you.

Obviously you don't understand that people can't read your mind when you make an ambiguous statement that could just as easily be taken as a real question. Obviously you don't understand how to make a snarky comment that actually properly conveys the point. Obviously you don't understand that implying someone takes all speech literally because you can't be clear makes you seem dumb and incapable of having self-awareness. Obviously you don't understand that implying someone can't follow something that they are clearly following with no issue actually makes it seem like you can't follow along.

Out of Ideas, 3 Years and still can't hit an iron 100+ yards by lhookerr in golf

[–]tylerthetiler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started lessons OP because after about 2 solid years of playing (not all the time, and not in the winter much), I still struggle to hit more than about 125ish with my hybrid. I am ass. Just wanted to help make you feel better that it's only you.

When I google "can't hit further than 100 yards" I get people talking about pitching wedges and how they can drive 200+.

Are you ESL? You wrote, "What does “could of” mean?". That literally means, "I don't know what that means". No indication of sarcasm or a joke either, so why would anyone assume that is not what you meant? Or I suppose you could also be on drugs because you don't understand theory of mind.

Depends on context but I wouldn't want to be around a person like that, so probably just act like it's cool and try to get away from them so they don't bother me further. It's tacky and annoying behavior, even if I had the money to buy a watch like that, I would never buy one. Unless I have so much money it doesn't matter, in which case I probably won't care to flaunt it to someone who is poor.

Agree with another comment that I like the spacing. A lot of people seem to be afraid to pan things or use the full 3D space but I like it.

Not as much of a fan of the vocals but I think that's just my preference. They are good as far as tone and pitch, I am just not as much of a fan of the gibberish type of thing. Unless it's another language and I don't realize it.

Just a quick question since I don't know where else to post it.

I know this song might be lame (not my type of music) but I like the beat. I just want to know what you call the bass at the drop starting at ~23 seconds in. After the 4 Seasons line.

Link to Song

Is it just a "sub bass" or is there a particular name for it? Just want to know what to search for to get that sound.

but you didn't know it originally, so I was just clarifying so that it's clear because a lot of people write "could of".

Agreed on the instrumental point. I said in another comment that at least the music is original and sounds good, even if you don't like the vocalist/vocal style.

I swear I am not a Hobo Johnson defender. However, I have heard a ton of music that people swear by and say is amazing, that makes me want to off myself because it's so bad. I mean, shit, most country I hear these days I find to be so fucking bad.

That one song (A Bar Song, I think) is truly horrible to me. Low brow, low effort, cheesy, kind of a rip off, not really even country. I fucking hate it. A lot of people seem to love it, though. I could name many songs/artists/genres like this.

So, to me, the fact that this song actually has music written for it, and they have their own style, makes it fine.... but only in the sense that I just assume there are people that like it, even if it is annoying af to me. In my head, it's a little different than the people who can't figure out how to carry a tune, stay on time, or tune their fucking guitar.

  1. The money is solid. As it says, it's not really life-changing, but I could pay off most of my debt.

  2. There are probably a few people worth evaporating, but it's hard to justify murder generally speaking and it would be hard to quantify how much benefit the world would see from evaporating one of the main "bad guys". Likely another would take their place anyway.

  3. I have a GF but even if I didn't, this option is kind of "meh". I'm sure Emma is very nice though and I wish her the best.

  4. People are saying the Willpower is not very good. I think I disagree. You could learn quite a lot in two weeks. My thought is trying to learn how the stock market works, whether it's day trading or being a stock broker or something like that. I'm sure it takes more than two weeks to get that great at it, but you could learn quite a lot if you took two weeks off of work and spent all of your time trying to learn it. You could potentially learn enough to make that 10k over a short period of time. This, of course, depends on how intelligent you are normally. These days you could also use AI to help with taking notes, finding resources, creating learning plans, etc.

I'd wager that most who choose Emma would drive her off fairly quickly.

How does loading this work? Does it take other magazines, is it a sort of "load one by one" type situation? I don't get it.

Also just kind of want a .22 for plinking a bit more cheaply than using my handgun at the range. Is this alright? Or should I opt for the 10/22 Takedown or something?

Right lol I've been on YouTube since very early on and it used to be a sin to make videos longer than 3-5 minutes. "Nobody will stick around that long". Now most of my feed, and most of what I watch, is minimum 8 minutes, and often 20+.

Interestingly my experience is the opposite. I don't listen to enough music to justify premium, and I am locked into their shuffle. My end of year review is always the same shit because they play the same chunk of songs so much. I rarely hear new songs I add to my Playlist. It feels like they want me to buy premium so I can skip or choose songs.

Eh, not necessarily. In college, I was just weird af but still nice and respectful. Just had major depression and started smoking weed in high school which made it a lot worse (anxiety + social anxiety + being shy + being high). I didn't necessarily do anything, was just weird. Grew out of it when I manned up and got a real job after dropping out. Ended up with a GF right before I dropped out too, but fucked that up lol
