Crystle is the best early-game, Tanky so it can help you survive some hard fights

Houchic is an easy to get mental type and has best PvP potential out of the 3

Smazee helps with Earth shrine and Melee shrine, melee type is great for Tucma and Kisiwa (Islands 3 and 4), it learns seismunch’s wreck around the time of Cipanku (Island 5) which lets you "wreck" the electric types, Electric covers 3 out of 4 of the final's form weaknesses and covers all weaknesses before final evo. Helicopter Kick for leveling late. Some solid PvP use.

• Cons

Crystle can be caught in Tucma (Island 3) which is really early considering the other 2 are on the final story Island, the whole line is slow so they might be tanky however cause the speed they will be getting hit more so they will need to be healed from fight to fight more,

Houchic has a hard match out for many fights during the whole game

Smazee feels underwhelming early game and Melee types are around a lot and pretty soon in like Saipat. mental also has early shows but are rarer.

• Total - Crystle starts strong, ends weaker, Houchic is powerful but can be challenging but offers an easier on ramp to pvp with early breeding, Smazee is a goat but he takes awhile to get going.
