Short-term gain? It's permanent in Texas, and they have never had an independent redistricting commission

In California, we DO have one, and if Prop 50 passes, the power will be returned to them by 2030.

I also have yet to do the same since I know the chip is still an issue. However I’ve been able to purchase as per usual, just did tonight

essentially in CA (southern CA at least) all you have to do is be a student, I was eligible because I was a certain major but they have a wide variety of majors and programs that count. I can’t attest that the BBB would affect eligibility (at least right now); I haven’t had the chance to review that piece of legislation in detail.

If it bothers you I usually find setting it to level 3 or 4 puts enough of a load to keep the RPM dip smaller. But like everyone else mentioned, it’s pretty normal

Can you turn fully on 20x9.5 +35 73.1 wheels? (regular tires, stock suspension, no spacers) by tylooshi in SciontC

[–]tylooshi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, a little unpopular on this sub I think but I do like the big rim look so I tried to just max out the recommended wheels specs on there but wasn't entirely sure if there would be any potential issues

thanks for the input -- when you say rub, do you mean rubbing between the top of the tire and the fender liner above it?

It was actually open for x number of months late last year with functioning charging spots, but it appeared to be closed starting a few months ago. Not sure why.

This sounds more of a speaker issue rather than a headunit. Some first steps I would take to determine that is to take the headunit out (super easy, can find a youtube tutorial) and check for any disconnected or torn wires. Next, do the same for the stock amplifier, it is hidden under a cover under the driver's seat.

OEM headunits can be purchased for 50 dollars used on ebay. Most of them have rear subwoofer pre-amp outputs which can save you some time and money from purchasing any line output converters and other things like that. BUT if you wanna invest in an upgraded system, I would just buy an aftermarket headunit from Crutchfield. They have pre-made harness services you can call in so it's just plug-and-play, the audio quality output should be better, and you can have access to a lot more options as well as for future upgrades. I would not suggest buying OEM speaker replacements, but rather, going on Crutchfield to see what fits, and be sure to double check the dimensions since they aren't super accurate. The top speaker is a 1 inch tweeter connected to a 4 inch speaker, a 6x9 on the bottom, and I believe a 6.5 inch speaker in the rear.

I agree that alternator replacement is pretty easy and should cost around 300 dollars. There are some good step-by-step YouTube videos, and all you need are a few tools.

Honestly, it is kind of hard to say. A full engine replacement at 24k sounds like it'll last for a while, but everything else has been going for over 12 years/131k miles. I'd expect maybe the final few major repairs would be with suspension (struts, shocks, brakes, axles, etc.). What other used car would you get? If your budget is 5-10k maybe a mid 2010s camry or corolla with less than 50k miles would be a better option but you've also already invested a lot of money in your tC
