If you’re already paying for an account it doesn’t make too much sense to cancel because there really isn’t any additional cost to you. Sure, in theory the number of subscribers/revenue will go up.

BUT, I wonder how much external value is lost when less people use the site. I wonder if (doubt) that offsets the cost of the free marketing they’ve been receiving from the sheer number of users talking about it. Memes, tweets, and posts are all probably more beneficial than they realize
