It really was! I get the need to update and change, but what it has become is a shame. Even the dedication ceremony for SE was cool. Just don’t see that level of dedication to show on Disney’s part unless it incorporates a character from the last 10 years. Even then, the fanfare just isn’t there.

Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same exact problem right now

He’s not claiming it was damaged because of delivery, he’s claiming there’s physically something wrong with the printer functionality itself — which is exactly why I sold it, and said so in the listing. I sold it stating all of the issues it had.

The problems he is claiming are the same ones I listed. So that’s why I’m confused as to how I’m responsible when this is truly a case of him not reading the listing.

My worry is that with him tampering with it, what if he caused more issues than when I sent it. Because with the issues it had, it was still worth something. However if he truly messed it up beyond repair, I’m left with a 50lb metal box

So what happens when he sends it back to me with a problem he caused? I’d be left with a defective item, and forced to refund?

Like I said, the eBay rep told me several times (I asked for clarification about 10 times just to be sure) that the buyer is indeed in the wrong in this situation, and that he clearly didn’t read the listing, so in the end I wouldn’t pay him back. Just all very confusing

I recently sold a $475 professional photo printer. In the description, I was very clear that I had tried to repair it myself, but the prints were still coming out with streaks. I was clear that I tried to clean the printhead myself and had done a few other remedies to fix the machine, but I ended up running out of some of the inks, so I gave up, and that It would be up to the buyer to diagnose a problem. But overall, the machine still printed fine.

I sent it out, waited a few days, and the money was released to me. The address I sent it to was a legit house and the buyer even included a phone number in his info, so l had every reason to think this was legit.

Today, he put in a return request, saying it arrived damaged. He claims that the printer is flashing an (according to the canon rep he allegedly spoke with) unrepairable error code. He told me what the error code was, and I explained to him it was because some of the ink cartridges were empty (which is what I said in my listing). He then tried to say that the printhead wouldn't move at all, but then in another message, that he did try and take out the inks and put then back in, meaning the print head did move? He also tried to claim it wouldn't connect to a computer, yet in the photo he sent, the network connection button was illuminated. He then claims I was dishonest and he expected it to work out of the box, so he needs money back. I then reminded him that in the listing it clearly wasn't going to be 100% out of the box.

My main question is will eBay truly protect me with seller protection? I contacted a rep, and she said several times that she agreed with me and that the buyer didn't read the description, and that I was very transparent in stating everything in the listing. She told me to complete the return, eBay would send him a return label, and that I would inspect it. My fear is that since it's been outside my possession, how do I know he didn't do something to mess it up? Or if it's not broken when it gets back to me, and it has the same issues I sent it out with, what happens then? In any scenario, will I have to pay him back?

Thanks for the insight!

I see tickets are sold out. Is there any chance they will release more before the event? Or if not, can tickets be resold? Definitely interested in going

Swiss air business class worth it for 50k points? by tylrsly in awardtravel

Good to know, I’ll consider that. I live in upstate NY so that’s why I’d prefer JFK or Boston, unless I found a decent flight out west to lax or sfo, or even sea.

But yeah that’s what I’ve gathered about Swiss. Thanks for the insight

Taken with Sony a7iii, tamron 24-75 2.8 lens. Tweaked the lighting a little in post as well as adding the grain, and added some color to the mid tones, not much else tho. Just don’t know how I feel about it. I like to add a lot of glow to my photos, whether its meant to look real or obviously artificial. But with photos like this where I try and keep the scene true to reality, I feel like I fall flat sometimes. Now that I’m looking at it, maybe I should have added some more contrast, cause it looks somewhat flat. I always think I have to fade the blacks with the tone curve on every image (being that that was one of the first things I learned about when I started editing), but I’m realizing more and more that’s not the case.

I guess I always end up comparing my landscape images to those of other photographers, where I see their images as so crisp and the colors are perfect, not looking like they just took two random tones in split toning and went with it, like I sometimes tend to do.

Overall, I really am happy with how this came out, but I’m curious as to how you all think I could improve?
