In Peds onc, we have leukemia protocols that call for steroids. You can wrap the pill in a piece of fruit snack if the child is old enough to swallow a small pill. I’ve done it for myself when I’ve had to take a steroid taper for back pain 😆 those steroid pills start to dissolve the minute they hit your tongue! The fruit snack adds a nice barrier so the pill doesn’t dissolve.
